Is Jamison Crowder playing Monday night? Fantasy injury update for Patriots-Jets (UPDATED) image

Jamison Crowder has already missed four games this year -- and many expected him to miss Week 9's Monday Night Football matchup against the Patriots because of a groin injury -- but despite a "questionable" tag, he has a very good chance of being active. Of course, with the Jets playing the last game of the week, fantasy football owners will be taking a big chance on Crowder by leaving him in their lineups, so any updates will be appreciated prior to locking in start 'em, sit 'em decisions.

That's why we'll be here providing the latest news below about Crowder right up until the active/inactive report is released at around 6:45 p.m. ET on Monday. For injury updates on Damien Harrisclick here. For all the latest fantasy news, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.

Is Jamison Crowder playing Monday night?

UPDATE: Crowder is officially ACTIVE.

Crowder (groin) managed to get in a limited practice on Friday, and according to New York Daily News reported Manish Mehta, the Jets top receiver is expected to play Monday night against the Patriots. That's a bit surprising since the Jets are going nowhere and have a Week 10 bye, but if this report is true, fantasy owners can feel comfortable leaving Crowder in their lineups this week.

WEEK 10 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

However, if you plan on starting Crowder, you should have a pivot from Monday night's game ready just in case he's scratched. Breshad Perriman, Denzel Mims, and Braxton Berrios figure to split targets on the Jets, while New England's Jakobi Meyers and Damiere Byrd should see decent targets, as well. It's tough to say who's the most desirable of that bunch, but if you're in a PPR league, Berrios and Meyers likely have the highest floors; Perriman and Mims have the most boom-or-bust upside.

WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

As for Crowder, he'll likely face tough coverage most of the night and remains a candidate to exit early if he aggravates his injury, but he's been an absolute machine in the games he has played (at least seven receptions and 10 targets in all four), so he should be in your lineups as long as he's active.
