Fantasy Injury Updates: Amari Cooper, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquise Brown impact Week 10 start 'em, sit 'em calls image

It's already been a bad week for wide receivers, with Adam Thielen, A.J. Green, Brandin Cooks, T.Y. Hilton, and Sterling Shepard ruled out (and Corey Davis listed as "doubtful"), and it could get even worse depending on the active/inactive statuses of "questionable" WRs Amari Cooper, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Marquise Brown. Fantasy football owners will be looking for injury updates all morning, afternoon, and evening, and we'll be providing them below to help with your Week 10 fantasy start 'em, sit 'em decisions.

Is Amari Cooper playing Sunday night?

UPDATE:  Cooper is officially ACTIVE.

After an MRI on Thursday, Cooper was diagnosed with a bruised knee, and the initial belief at the time was that he would play on Sunday night against Minnesota. Nothing has changed since then, as ESPN's Adam Schefter reported very early Sunday morning

Cooper is a must-start if active. If he's out, expect more targets for Michael Gallup and a variety of secondary receivers, led by Randall Cobb. Because this is a prime-time game, you should have a backup from either the Cowboys, Vikings, 49ers, or Seahawks to sub in if Cooper is a surprise scratch.

Is JuJu Smith-Schuster playing Week 10?

UPDATE:  Smith-Schuster is officially ACTIVE.

Smith-Schuster (toe) was a late add to the injury report on Friday, though no official clarification was given. He dealt with a toe injury earlier in the season, so the most likely reason is that he aggravated it in practice.

If Smith-Schuster is active, he'll be a boom-or-bust WR3 in a tough matchup against Jalen Ramsey and the Rams defense. If he's out, Diontae Washington and James Washington will be Pittsburgh's primary wide receivers, but it's hard to recommend either with Mason Rudolph under center. If anything, Vance McDonald and Jaylen Samuels will benefit the most. Because this game doesn't kick off until late in the afternoon, fantasy owners should play it safe and either keep JuJu on their benches or have a fill-in from the late/prime-time games ready to go.

Marquise Brown injury update

UPDATE 2:  Brown is officially ACTIVE.

UPDATE 1:  NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Sunday morning that Brown is expected to play.

After missing two games prior to Baltimore's bye and returning for last week's game against the Patriots, Brown (ankle) is once again listed as "questionable" heading into Sunday's game in Cincinnati.

At this point, it would be a surprise if he's out, and as long as he's active, he's a worthwhile starter against a Bengals' defense prone to allowing big plays. If Brown is out, Willie Snead would be the primary beneficiary, but he would still be no more than a deep FLEX play.
