Fantasy WR Rankings Week 6: Who to start, sit at wide receiver in fantasy football image

It's a good thing wide receiver is the deepest position in fantasy football because injuries and the first week of byes do a number on our Week 6 fantasy WR rankings for standard leagues. Fortunately, we're able to pinpoint a few sleepers and worthwhile waiver streamers in what looks to be a down week for the position as a whole.

Cooper Kupp (vs. Panthers in Week 5) is back to the top spot in our rankings, but Stefon Diggs (@ Chiefs) and Deebo Samuel (@ Falcons) aren’t far behind. You’ll notice a trend this week, as outside of A.J. Brown (vs. Cowboys) the majority of our top-heavy top-10 involves wideouts with juicy matchups. Regarding Brown, the Eagles' offense is still efficient enough to where a tough matchup won’t hurt him too much, but it's fair to wonder if both Brown and DeVonta Smith (vs. Cowboys) can have big games.

It’s also worth monitoring the statuses of Dolphins’ QBs Tua Tagovailoa (head) and Teddy Bridgewater (head), as they'll have an impact on where stud WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle (vs. Vikings) are ranked. Considering the situation, third-string QB Skylar Thompson wasn’t horrible for a seventh-round rookie thrust into game action, but neither Hill nor Waddle eclipsed double-digit fantasy points in standard scoring. Hill (foot) was also stepped on late in the Dolphins’ 40-17 road loss to the Jets, so we’ll have to monitor his status as the week progresses.

WEEK 6 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Also on the injury front, we’ll be keeping tabs on the statuses of Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, and Jarvis Landry (vs. Bengals), Keenan Allen (vs. Broncos), Tee Higgins (@ Saints), Drake London (vs. 49ers), Rashod Bateman (@ Giants), and Jahan Dotson (@ Bears), as those key pass-catchers are nursing injuries at the moment. If any of these wideouts were to miss Week 6, look for more run from fellow WRs Tre'Quan Smith and Marquez Callaway (vs. Bengals), Josh Palmer (vs. Broncos), Tyler Boyd (@ Saints), Olamide Zaccheaus (@ Bears), Devin Duvernay (@ Giants), and Dyami Brown (@ Bears), respectively, in their places.

WEEK 6 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Some receivers who are on the start 'em-sit 'em bubble every week see their rankings drop because of tough matchups. London (vs. 49ers), Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, and Corey Davis (@ Packers), Duvernay (@ Giants), Dyami Brown (@ Bears), Zay Jones and Marvin Jones Jr. (@ Colts), JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (vs. Bills), George Pickens (vs. Buccaneers), and Rondale Moore (@ Seahawks) are chief among this group. Even Diontae Johnson (vs. Buccaneers) could be on the chopping block in shallow leagues.

WEEK 6 DFS: Best stacks | Best values

Conversely, Darnell Mooney (vs. Commanders), Darius Slayton (vs. Ravens), Julio Jones (@ Steelers), if active, Adam Thielen (@ Dolphins), Isaiah McKenzie/Khalil Shakir (@ Chiefs), and Jerry Jeudy (@ Chargers) all look like solid plays with favorable matchups, depending how deep your league is.

WEEK 6 DFS LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings

The unfortunate part about the Titans, Lions, Texans, and Raiders all being on bye isn't so much the key WRs who are out (Davante Adams, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Brandin Cooks, etc.). Rather, it's the favorable matchups that wide receivers won't be getting against Tennessee, Detroit, and Vegas. Plenty of owners in 12-team leagues won't feel great about their WR3s, never mind their flexes this week, so follow the targets and/or matchups and hope for a TD.

WEEK 6 FANTASY PICKS: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em

Note: We'll be updating these WR rankings as needed throughout the week, so check back for the latest changes.
