Fantasy WR Rankings Week 12: Who to start, sit at wide receiver in fantasy football image

We know the wide receiver position is deep, but that doesn't make start 'em, sit 'em decisions at this position any easier, especially when injuries, byes, and other issues are rearing their ugly heads. We do our best to sort through the confusion in Week 12 fantasy WR rankings, but we know we'll have to make frequent updates throughout the week.

DeAndre Hopkins (remember him?), Tyreek Hill, and the rest of the Chiefs' and Cardinals' wide receivers are on bye. We'll certainly miss some of those guys, but overall, it's not a terrible week. Cooper Kupp (@ Packers) and the trio of Broncos WRs (vs. Chargers) will be back, and we'll finally get to see Odell Beckham Jr. after a normal week of preparation with the Rams.

WEEK 12 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Strong standard league starts include Rashod Bateman (vs. Browns), Elijah Moore and Corey Davis (@ Texans), Brandon Aiyuk (vs. Vikings), Cole Beasley (@ Saints), T.Y. Hilton (vs. Buccaneers), Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne (vs. Titans), and Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney (@ Lions). All figure to be at least low-end WR3s facing off against statistically poor defenses against WRs. Detroit might not be the worst team against the position, but that has mostly been due to run-heavy game scripts by their opposition. If Chicago blows out Detroit on Thanksgiving, Mooney and Robinson might have quiet afternoons, but they still have a good amount of upside

WEEK 12 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Deeper in the rankings, you'll find Jamison Crowder (@ Texans), Robby Anderson (@ Dolphins), Laviska Shenault and Marvin Jones (vs. Falcons), and Russell Gage (@ Jaguars). Obviously, none are "safe" options, but at this point in the rankings, no one is. We have to rely on favorable matchups when looking at deep sleepers and one-week streamers. If you're really brave, you can try Nico Collins (vs. Jets). He's getting more involved in the Texans' offense, which is looking somewhat better as Tyrod Taylor continues to get healthier. We can say the same about fellow rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown (vs. Bears) facing the fourth-worst defense against fantasy WRs heading into Week 11.

WEEK 12 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em

On the flip side, Kadarius Toney (vs. Eagles), Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick (vs. Chargers), Jarvis Landry (@ Ravens), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (vs. Rams), and Tre'Quan Smith (vs. Bills) have tough enough matchups to cause concern. Sutton and Toney have both produced explosive performances this season, but the Eagles and Chargers were both top-four teams against fantasy WRs heading into Week 11. Additionally, Sutton has just five receptions in the past three weeks, so it seems Jerry Jeudy's return to the lineup has hurt him mightily. We still like Jeudy this week, but he's also on the start-sit bubble.

WEEK 12 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo

Some of the guys we didn't expect to be productive this year have come through, and of course, we've had plenty of fantasy busts. You can only ride with someone so long before you accept it's time to bench/cut them, and 11 weeks of data is well enough time to make those calls. We know it's not gonna be fun to bench Courtland Sutton or Kadarius Toney for a guys like Elijah Moore or Darnell Mooney, but it's probably the right call.
