Fantasy RB PPR Rankings Week 10: Who to start, sit at running back in fantasy football image

Feels good to see Christian McCaffrey in our Week 10 fantasy RB PPR rankings, doesn't it? Matchup-proof running backs are hard to find, and McCaffrey might very well be the best back in fantasy the rest of the way now that Derrick Henry is sidelined with a foot injury. Fortunately, McCaffrey isn't the only back set up for success this week, as plenty of sleepers and studs lurk below.

The Giants, Bears, Texans, and Bengals are on bye this week, meaning Joe Mixon and a bunch of fill-ins/oft-injured backs will be out. Fantasy owners can survive being without that group, but the real killer is the favorable matchups for other running backs that are off the table. The Giants, Bears, and Texas were all top 10 in fantasy points per game allowed to RBs and the Bengals allowed the most receptions per game to RBs heading into Week 9.

WEEK 10 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Fortunately, there are still some potential sleepers of varying degrees. Devin Singletary and Zack Moss (@ Jets) are a committee you'd prefer to avoid, but they have an optimal matchup this week. At least one figures to perform, if not both. Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams (vs. Eagles) are both riding high and should have another good week. Latavius Murray, if healthy, and Devonta Freeman (@ Dolphins) and Boston Scott and Jordan Howard (@ Broncos) also have top-12 matchups. Gordon, Scott, and Freeman have slightly more in PPR formats. AJ Dillon (vs. Seahawks), Kenyan Drake (vs. Chiefs) and Nyheim Hines (vs. Jaguars) also have fantastic matchups, but Dillon is a better standard back while Drake and Hines will have more value in PPR leagues.

WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback |  Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Unfortunately, there's more bad than good in the matchup department this week. We're not overly concerned about top PPR guys like D'Andre Swift (@ Steelers) and James Robinson @ Colts), nor are we too worried about emerging PPR threat Michael Carter (vs. Bills), who's still in play as an RB2. However, Damien Harris (vs. Browns) and Antonio Gibson (vs. Buccaneers) are much riskier. Harris (head) still has major TD upside and will likely be in most lineups if healthy, but Gibson's recent usage issues due to a shin injury make him a tough sell. It's possible he plays more (and catches more passes) after a week off, but J.D. McKissic might actually be a better PPR play against a Bucs defense that had given up the fourth-most RB receptions/game heading into Week 9.

WEEK 10 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em

The Eagles, Seahawks, Jets, Patriots, Chiefs, Rams, and Falcons have also allowed over six RB receptions per game. Aside from the players mentioned above (Gordon/Williams, Singletary/Moss, Drake), Elijah Mitchell (vs. Rams) and Tony Pollard (vs. Falcons) get slight PPR bumps. Kareem Hunt (@ Patriots) would also get a nice boost if he's able to come off the IR, but his calf injury figures to keep him out at least another week.

WEEK 10 DFS LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings | Yahoo

The RB position is getting stronger, slowly but surely, but the matchups for some key guys this week might mean you have to dig deep for your RB2 or flex spot. As long as you don't try to force in any players with bad matchups or who are trending downward in touches, you should be OK. It will (hopefully) only get better from here.
