Dallas Goedert injury update, Week 14 fantasy outlook

Goedert was unable to suit up for the Eagles on Sunday against the 49ers as he still tries to recover from a fractured forearm. However, there was some positive news lost in a sea of bad for Philadelphia, as he was at least able to return to practice on a limited basis on the Friday before game day. It seems that Week 14 was always the logical spot to return, if not the target, considering the Eagles didn't place the tight end on IR after sustaining the injury. Wednesday's practice report will be telling as the team prepares for a massive Sunday night clash against the Cowboys.

Conventional wisdom would suggest that Goedert, even if he returns, would be limited in some way, but it's hard to believe the Eagles would risk a key piece of their offense potentially hurting his arm again in what is likely to be a bruising, physical matchup. Regardless, Goedert is worth starting if he returns. Otherwise, there is no fantasy-relevant TE on the roster.

Darren Waller injury update, Week 14 fantasy outlook

UPDATE: Giants' coach Brian Daboll said Tuesday that Waller is not expected to play this week.

Waller (hamstring) has missed the past four games after being placed on IR on Nov. 4, but he could soon be nearing a return. The Giants are coming off their bye week, sitting with a record of 4-8 and somehow still dreaming of a playoff spot. Head coach Brian Daboll said "we'll see," when asked if a return for Waller would happen coming out of the bye. However, it seems we'll have to wait a little longer, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan, who said he "doesn't believe Waller is too far off."

It would be incredibly difficult for fantasy owners to trust Waller if he were to come off IR and return to game action this season. At this point in the year, we don't know what to expect from the oft-injured TE, and we can't forget that the Giants don't exactly score a lot of points. The Tommy DeVito run is more likely to be the Giants' version of the NBA's Knicks "Linsanity" run than anything else. Saquon Barkley remains the only relevant fantasy player in this offense until proven otherwise.

Dalton Schultz injury update, Week 14 fantasy outlook

Schultz fell victim to a hamstring injury in Week 13 and was unable to suit up against the Broncos. He was a DNP all week at practice thanks to the hamstring ailment, something that plagued him before Week 11, too. Updates have been nonexistent since the weekend, meaning Wednesday will be the first official news in regards to whether Schultz has a chance to play on Sunday against the Jets.

If the TE were to find his way back onto the field, he certainly is worth starting. Tight end has been a soft spot at times for the Gang Green defense, most recently surrendering a TD to MyCole Pruitt last week. The Texans are bringing a solid passing attack to the Meadowlands, and Schultz had been a key piece to it before getting injured. If he's absent once again, then Brevin Jordan warrants consideration as one of the top streamers at the position in Week 14.
