De'Von Achane injury update, Week 13 fantasy outlook

Achane (knee) was held out of last week's Black Friday game against the Jets, and for good reason -- Miami didn't need him. The Dolphins jumped out to a 10-0 lead, one that was insurmountable for the Jets. That reality allowed the rookie to log a week of rest to nurse the sore knee despite turning in some limited practices in the lead-up to game day. Head coach Mike McDaniel said that they were being cautious with Achane and that there was no setback. We'll have to wait until official practice reports come out later in the week, but it appears that Achane should return against the Commanders on Sunday.

The speedy running back's knee is obviously a concern moving forward, considering he quickly aggravated it in his return after spending time on IR. With the state of the AFC East, it will be interesting to see how the Dolphins approach Achane's workload going forward. Miami is up three in the loss column over the Bills, who own the tiebreaker right now. It seems unlikely that the rookie will handle a bulk of the workload with Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. all running efficiently, too. Fantasy owners won't like it for obvious reasons, but we should expect the Dolphins to continue this cautious approach until the playoffs begin. Achane will be up a high-upside flex when active, but it's tough to predict his usage right now.

Aaron Jones injury update, Week 13 fantasy outlook

It wasn't a happy Thanksgiving for Jones, who was sidelined once again, this time with an MCL sprain. While the Packers managed to pick up a win over the Lions to spoil their holiday, Jones was in a familiar spot -- forced to watch another game in street clothes in what has become a lost season. He stretched with the team prior to practice on Monday, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, but the official injury report will be telling later in the week.

WEEK 13 STANDARD RANKINGS:

This season hasn't been the year to invest in the Green Bay offense for fantasy purposes. They are plagued by inconsistency and particularly inefficient play from the running backs. It's a team that has youth all over the field, complicating what was already going to be a difficult transition season in Green Bay. Even as the offense has come on as of late, the Packers are still a group that can't get their RBs going, whether it's Jones or AJ Dillon. We find it hard to trust either against a solid Chiefs defense in Week 13, relegating both to flex territory, at best.
