Fantasy Injury Updates: Latest news on Miles Sanders, D'Andre Swift, Darrell Henderson affecting Week 13 start 'em, sit 'em calls image

Miles Sanders, D'Andre Swift, and Darrell Henderson have unclear statuses heading into Week 13, and start 'em, sit 'em calls at running back hang in the balance based on the latest injury updates. We'll dive into each player and how their handcuffs will be affected if the starter is out.

WEEK 13 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em

Miles Sanders injury update

UPDATE: Sanders said he "plans on playing" against the Jets and got in a full practice on Thursday.

UPDATE 2: Sanders is not on Philadelphia's final injury report, indicating he'll be good to go for Sunday's game.

Sanders (ankle) played through a sore ankle last Sunday, but as is often the case, things seemed to get worse on Monday. He was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice heading into a matchup with the worst defense against fantasy RBs (Jets). If he plays, we love his chances for a big game, and since Jalen Hurts is limited with an ankle injury, we could see multiple backs have decent days. If Sanders is out, Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell should split backfield duties, as it looks like Jordan Howard (knee) won't play after missing practice on Wednesday.

We like Sanders as the RB11 in PPR and standard. If Sanders can't play, Scott could have a ceiling as high as an RB1, but he'll probably be ranked as a high-end RB2. Kenneth Gainwell will be a strong flex consideration.

WEEK 13 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

D'Andre Swift injury update

UPDATE: Swift did not practice Thursday.

UPDATE 2: Swift is officially OUT for Sunday's game.

Swift (shoulder) was first ruled "day-to-day," then Dan Campbell said "it’s hard to say that you’d see" Swift playing in Week 13 against the Vikings. Now, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Swift could miss multiple weeks. It's hard to know what his exact timetable looks like, but it sure doesn't seem like he'll play this week.

Minnesota allows the ninth-most fantasy points per game (FPPG) to fantasy RBs, so we think Jamaal Williams could have a decent day if Swift is ruled out. Williams is our RB17 in standard and RB16 in PPR leagues for Week 13. He could sneak his way into the RB1 range in PPR simply because he could be the recipient of the classic Jared Goff dump downs. After all, he does have 24 targets as a mere backup, and Detroit has targeted RBs at the second-highest clip (102).

Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Darrell Henderson injury update

UPDATE: Henderson is officially "questionable" for Sunday's game.

Henderson (quad) did not practice Wednesday, but Sean McVay expects him to be ready to go against the Jaguars. However, we're not taking his word for it here, so we'll continue to monitor the situation. If he does play, he'll probably be limited to some extent and will likely be taken out if the Rams get a big lead. Ultimately, he carries risk into Week 13, but you can't really consider benching him based on his upside.

WEEK 13 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo

The Jags give up the 10th-most FPPG to RBs, but given the factors we laid out, Henderson ranks as our RB16 in standard leagues, and RB15 in PPR. If he's out, Sony Michel should dominate backfield touches and be ranked just a tad lower.
