Fantasy Injury Updates: Latest news on Latavius Murray, Jeff Wilson Jr. impacting Week 16 start 'em, sit 'em decisions image

Few things are worse for fantasy football owners than running back injuries, especially in the playoffs, and with key RBs Jeff Wilson Jr. and Latavius Murray "questionable" ahead of Sunday's game, plenty of start 'em, sit 'em decisions hang in the balance. Knowing the latest updates on both will be crucial ahead of Week 16's unorthodox slate.

Below, we'll give you the latest news on these running backs and break down how their injuries could potentially affect the Week 16 fantasy landscape.

WEEK 16 FANTASY PICKS: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em

Is Latavius Murray playing Week 16?

UPDATE: Murray is officially ACTIVE.

After failing to practice on Thursday, Murray (foot) got in a limited session on Friday. Coach Nathaniel Hackett said that Murray's missed practice was "precautionary" because he didn't want the veteran back to practice on turf. Either way, it sounds like Murray has a good chance of suiting up on Sunday against the Rams, but he could be slightly limited.

Murray is coming off his best game of the season, rushing 24 times for 130 yards and a TD. Even if he sees a reduction in carries, he's still a decent bet for 15 touches, making him a solid flex. If he's out, Marlon Mack will start and see the bulk of the RB touches, making him a low-end flex against L.A.'s fourth-ranked run defense.

Is Jeff Wilson Jr. playing Week 16?

UPDATE: Wilson Jr. is officially ACTIVE.

Wilson Jr. (hip) missed last week's game, but after getting in a week's worth of limited practices, he's officially "questionable" for Sunday's game against Green Bay.

WEEK 16 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

JWJ was "close to playing" last week, according to coach Mike McDaniel, so it seems likely that he'll be in action this week. He seemingly fell behind Raheem Mostert on the Dolphins' depth chart before the injury, but he was running almost equal with him before his injury in Week 14. Given the uncertainty of the situation, Wilson Jr. is no more than a flex despite the highly favorable matchup. Green Bay is allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to RBs, so both Mostert (RB2) and Wilson Jr. (flex) can be used in 12-team leagues.
