WEEK 12 FANTASY PICKS: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em

Justin Fields injury update, Week 12 fantasy outlook

Fields (separated left shoulder) got in a limited practice session on Wednesday, but he told reporters that he feels pain every time he throws. Beat writer Jon Greenberg from The Athletic said he believes that Fields is "unlikely" to play against the Jets on Sunday.

For his part, Fields said he will do everything in his power to suit up. "I just feel like if I can play and that I'm not furthering the risk of injury and I can do what I need to do to be able to protect myself, I think that’ll be good enough for me to play."

The Bears are unlikely to take any unnecessary chances with their franchise QB, especially with the playoffs already out of reach, so if Fields is active, fantasy owners can feel relatively safe putting him in their lineups. It's reasonable to assume that Fields will run less because of the injury, but it's unlikely that he'll be relegated to just being a pocket passer. His ceiling isn't as high as it normally is, but Fields will still have a decent floor if he's active.

If he's out, Trevor Siemian would start, which doesn't figure to help the value of any of Chicago's other offensive players.

Kyler Murray injury update, Week 12 fantasy outlook

Murray (hamstring) has missed the past two games, but he practiced in full on Wednesday and has already said he expects to play in Week 12 against the Chargers.

WEEK 12 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Murray has been inconsistent this year, but he's a low-end QB1 against L.A.'s middle-of-the-road pass defense. Murray has yet to play a game with both DeAndre Hopkins and Marquise Brown (foot) on the field together, and there's a good chance that happens this week. TE Zach Ertz (knee) will be out and WR Rondale Moore (groin) is also likely to be on the sidelines, but given Murray's rushing ability, he still has a high floor and high ceiling.
