Fantasy Injury Updates: Latest news on Jonathan Taylor, James Conner, Raheem Mostert, more affecting Week 6 RB start 'em, sit 'em decisions image

The first practice injury reports for most teams in Week 6 dropped on Wednesday, and the statuses of several key RBs remain up in the air. Jonathan Taylor, James Conner, Raheem Mostert, and Damien Harris are must-start RBs when fully healthy, but that's not the case this week. It's crucial to get a feel for their statuses as the weekend rolls around so fantasy owners are well-equipped to handle their start 'em, sit 'em decisions.

Below we'll give you the latest news on these RBs and break down how their injuries could potentially affect the Week 6 fantasy landscape. Jonathan Taylor injury update, Week 6 fantasy outlook

UPDATE 2: Taylor (ankle) is trending towards returning to game action in Week 6.

UPDATE: Taylor (ankle) returned to practice on Thursday, according to the Athletic's Zak Keefer.

Taylor (ankle) missed Indianapolis' practice on Wednesday, according to the team's official injury report. While it's not the best sign, there's still hope he returns for this Sunday's rematch against the Jaguars.

According to Zak Keefer of the Athletic, Taylor was rehabbing off to the side during practice. Fellow RB Nyheim Hines (concussion), who was ruled out of last Thursday night's game in the first half, did get a limited practice in, boosting his chances of returning to game action this week. If Taylor were to miss a second-straight week, Hines would be a must-start PPR flex while other RBs Deon Jackson and Phillip Lindsay could be worth a look in deeper formats (more so Jackson). We'll see if the Colts lead back can return to practice in some capacity on Thursday.

James Conner injury update, Week 6 fantasy outlook

UPDATE 3: Conner (ribs) has officially been ruled out for Week 6.

UPDATE 2: Conner (ribs) was not seen practicing during the Cardinals' open portion of practice, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss. His status for Week 6 is in jeopardy, as Eno Benjamin figures to assume a large workload in Conner's absence.

UPDATE: Conner missed practice for a second-straight day on Thursday, according to Darren Urban.

Conner (ribs) is listed as "day-to-day" entering the Cardinals' Week 6 road tilt in Seattle. Conner failed to participate in Wednesday's practice, and with fellow RB Darrel Williams (knee) already ruled out, Eno Benjamin emerges as a potential RB2.

We'll see if Conner can return to the practice field on Thursday or Friday, and while some veterans like Conner can still suit up on Sundays if they don't practice during the week, three straight DNPs isn't a great sign for this Week 6 prospects. Given the matchup, Benjamin is a must-start RB2 if Conner is out.

Raheem Mostert injury update, Week 6 fantasy outlook

UPDATE 2: According to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, "Mostert said knee is fine and he's playing Sunday."

UPDATE: Mostert (knee) returned to practice on Thursday, according to beat reporter Daniel Oyefusi.

Mostert (knee) was listed on the lengthy Dolphins' injury report as a DNP during Wednesday's practice session. His status for this week is unclear at the moment, and we'll get a better feel for things on Friday afternoon at the latest.

Mostert dominated the backfield duties this past week, playing on nearly 70 percent of the Dolphins' offensive snaps while racking up 113 rushing yards and a TD on 18 carries. He draws a tough matchup against Minnesota's solid run defense, but given the Dolphins are down to third-string quarterback Skylar Thompson, there's a good chance Mostert's featured early and often. Fellow RB Chase Edmonds is off the fantasy radar if Mostert is healthy.

Damien Harris injury update, Week 6 fantasy outlook

Despite a report earlier in the week that said Harris (hamstring) would miss multiple games, he landed on the Patriots' Week 6 injury report as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. It's still unlikely Harris returns to game action this week if his hamstring isn't 100 percent, but it's still a good sign he's able to get back to the practice field.

Rhamondre Stevenson remains a must-start with RB1 upside in a three-down role for New England. Stevenson and the Patriots draw an enticing matchup against a middling Browns' defense.
