With a pivotal Week 12 approaching, it's more crucial than ever to stay up to date on players who will likely remain on their respective team's injury reports throughout the week. Two RBs who have an impact on the fantasy landscape, Joe Mixon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire, got banged up during game action on Sunday, and both will likely be pegged with "questionable" tags in the coming days. Their statuses will surely impact Week 12 fantasy waiver pickups and RB rankings.

Below, we'll give you the latest news on these running backs and break down how their injuries could potentially affect the Week 12 fantasy landscape. Joe Mixon injury update, Week 12 fantasy outlook

Mixon (concussion) exited Cincinnati's Week 11 win over Pittsburgh in the third quarter after rushing for 20 yards on seven carries to go along with three receptions for 42 yards. We'll see if Mixon can clear concussion protocol ahead of Cincinnati's Week 12 road contest in Tennessee, but if he's unable to suit up, expect a high-usage day for backup RB Samaje Perine.

Perine produced in Mixon's absence on Sunday, scoring three receiving touchdowns (four receptions, 52 yards) despite being largely ineffective on the ground (11 carries, 30 yards). Should Mixon miss this Sunday's matchup against the Titans, Perine profiles as a must-start RB2/flex in 12-team leagues despite the Titans allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to RBs (16.2).

Clyde Edwards-Helaire injury update, Week 12 fantasy outlook

UPDATE: Edwards-Helaire suffered a high-ankle sprain and will likely miss the next three or four games.

Edwards-Helaire was ruled out of Kansas City's Week 11 win over Los Angeles with an ankle injury after rushing for nine yards on two carries. He's severely fallen off the fantasy radar since being relegated to a backup role in the Chiefs' offense.

WEEK 12 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Should he miss Sunday's home tilt against the Rams, look for an even bigger workload to go toward Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon in Kansas City's high-powered offense. Pacheco had his first-career 100-yard rushing game in Week 11 (15 carries, 107 yards), and he's deserving of more opportunities going forward. McKinnon didn't do much from a fantasy perspective in Week 11 but is always a threat to haul in a handful of receptions. At this point of the fantasy season, Edwards-Helaire is droppable, regardless of his injury status.
