Fantasy Injury Updates: Latest news on Gus Edwards, Ezekiel Elliott impacting Week 11 start 'em, sit 'em calls image

As Sunday's slate of games nears, fantasy football owners with banged-up players need to monitor Week 11 injury reports to stay up to date on the statuses of players hit with "questionable" tags. This week, owners should be keeping an eye on running backs Gus Edwards and Ezekiel Elliott, two impactful RBs who may make their way back on the field after missing a couple of weeks with ailments.

Below, we'll give you the latest news on these running backs and break down how their injuries could potentially affect the Week 11 fantasy landscape.

WEEK 11 FANTASY PICKS: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em

Is Gus Edwards playing Week 11?

UPDATE: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday morning that Edwards is not expected to play, but a final decision won't be made until after pre-game warmups.

UPDATE 2: Edwards is officially OUT.

Edwards (hamstring) is officially listed as "questionable" ahead of Baltimore's Week 11 home tilt with Carolina, according to the team's official injury report

Edwards was limited in practice all week after missing the Ravens' most recent contest against the Saints in Week 9. Edwards looks to be in line to return to game action this Sunday, and while he's been fairly efficient in his first two games, a solid fantasy day for Edwards is one where he reaches the end zone. Edwards has yet to log a reception through two games while also playing on fewer than 40 percent of the team's snaps in those games. Should Edwards end up being inactive for his second-straight game, Kenyan Drake vaults up to a solid RB2 with upside in a plus matchup against a Panthers defense that's struggled to contain RBs. Projected windy conditions could mean more carries for Baltimore's backs, too.

WEEK 11 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Is Ezekiel Elliott playing Week 11?

UPDATE: Elliott is officially ACTIVE.

Elliott (knee) is officially listed as "questionable" entering Sunday's late-afternoon matchup against the Vikings, but head coach Mike McCarthy did say he anticipates Elliott will play.

WEEK 11 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

While Tony Pollard owners punch air, Elliott's potential return certainly caps the upside of Pollard, who's finished as a top-10 RB in the two games that Elliott missed. Should Elliott make his return to game action, both Pollard and Elliott sit as borderline RB2/3s in a tough matchup against a Vikings defense allowing the fifth-fewest FPPG to RBs (17.8). Pollard could still see more carries, but Elliott would likely get the bulk of the goal-line touches and have plenty of upside.
