Three impact wide receivers, DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Brandin Cooks, landed on their respective team's injury reports and are all listed as "questionable" ahead of Sunday's slate of late-afternoon games. Before locking in your lineup for Week 8, it's important to check in to see the statuses for these fantasy-relevant wide receivers because there aren't as many potential waiver-wire pivots if these players are declared "out."

Below, we'll give you the latest news on these wideouts and break down how their injuries could potentially affect the Week 8 fantasy landscape.

Is DK Metcalf playing Week 8?

UPDATE: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported late Saturday night that Metcalf is expected to play against the Giants. Schefter did not specify if Metcalf will be on a snap count.

UPDATE 2: Metcalf is officially ACTIVE.

Metcalf (knee) is officially listed as "questionable" ahead of the Seahawks' Week 8 home matchup against the Giants, according to the team's official injury report. After missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday, Metcalf was a limited participant on Friday, setting him up to be a "game-time decision" ahead of Sunday's late-afternoon kickoff.

It's still likely an uphill for Metcalf to be active this week, but the fact he was able to practice on Friday gives him a fighting chance. Initially, Metcalf's injury appeared much worse, as he was carted off to the locker room, but with X-rays coming back negative and Metcalf practicing to end the week, he certainly has a shot to play.

There are obvious risks if Metcalf is active, but if the Seahawks are willing to put him out there, fantasy owners should, too. Should Metcalf miss this week, look for WR Marquise Goodwin and TEs Will Dissly and Noah Fant to get more targets and be worth starts in deeper leagues.

Is Tyler Lockett playing Week 8?

UPDATE: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported late Saturday night that Lockett is expected to play against the Giants.

UPDATE 2: Lockett is officially ACTIVE.

Lockett (hamstring, ribs) carries a "questionable" tag entering the Seahawks' Week 8 matchup against the Giants, according to the team's official injury report. Lockett also carried a "questionable" tag prior to last week's matchup against the Chargers but was ultimately able to go. This week, a rib injury added to his injury designation, potentially hindering his chances of suiting up.

Lockett has been one of the most durable wideouts throughout his eight-year career, but he might be in danger of missing this week's contest. With DK Metcalf (knee) potentially missing this week, as well, Seattle could end up being down their top-two options. If that's the case, look for an increased workload for Marquise Goodwin, Dee Eskridge, Will Dissly, and Noah Fant.

Is Brandin Cooks playing Week 8?

UPDATE: Cooks is officially ACTIVE.

Cooks (wrist) landed on the Texans' injury report on Friday after practicing in full throughout the week. With trade rumors swirling ahead of the Nov. 1 deadline, there's a chance a healthy Cooks is held out this week prior to a potential trade.

Should Cooks end up suiting up, he's a borderline WR2 in all formats in an enticing matchup against a susceptible Titans pass defense that's allowing the fourth-most FPPG to wide receivers (36.3). With fellow WR Nico Collins (groin) missing practice this week, expect a high target share for Cooks if he plays.

WEEK 8 DFS: Best values | Best stacks

If both Cooks and Collins are out, Phillip Dorsett II and Chris Moore will see more targets and be flex considerations.
