Fantasy Injury Updates: Baker Mayfield, Drew Lock impacting Week 6 QB rankings image

Both Baker Mayfield and Drew Lock entered this season with some sleeper hype, but neither has paid off yet. Lock hasn't had much of a chance, as he's been hampered by a shoulder injury since Week 2, and Mayfield simply has been a low-volume game manager. Both are still important in two-QB and superflex leagues, though, so their "questionable" statuses for Week 6 undoubtedly have a few nervous fantasy owners looking for updates ahead of making their start 'em, sit 'em decisions.

We'll have the latest news on Mayfield and Lock below until kickoff, so check back for updates. WEEK 6 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Is Baker Mayfield playing this week?

UPDATE 2: Mayfield is officially ACTIVE.

UPDATE: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported late Saturday night that Mayfield will start against the Steelers.

Mayfield (ribs) got in a full practice on Friday, so despite his "questionable" tag, it doesn't appear that there's an real reason to worry about him playing on Sunday against the Steelers.

Pittsburgh has been middle of the road against QBs this year, allowing 19 fantasy points per game, but Mayfield has shown a pretty limited ceiling. He's yet to post more than two TDs or 247 passing yards in a game, so there's no need to take a chance on him in single-QB leagues.

WEEK 6 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Is Drew Lock playing this week?

UPDATE 2: Lock is officially ACTIVE.

UPDATE: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported late Saturday night that Lock is expected to start against the Patriots.

Lock (shoulder) got knocked out of his Week 2 matchup against Pittsburgh and hasn't played since, but after getting in a full week of practices, he should be good to go against New England.

WEEK 6 FANTASY: Sleepers | BustsStart 'em, sit 'em

Lock wasn't particularly impressive in Week 1 against Tennessee (216 yards, TD), so a matchup with New England's solid pass defense doesn't figure to go well, especially after his long layoff. He's still in play in two-QB or superflex leagues, of course, but those in single-QB leagues don't need to worry about Lock this week. His presence will give Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick slightly higher ceilings, though.
