Fantasy Injury Updates: Adam Thielen, Julian Edelman, Matt Breida, among key Week 13 active/inactive worries image

Thursday featured a number of injury worries, and several more banged-up players were simply declared "out" ahead of Sunday's games (T.Y. Hilton, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marlon Mack, Jordan Howard, Damien Williams, Golden Tate, David Njoku, Gerald Everett). James Conner is listed as "doubtful", which is as good as "out", so that leaves us with only a few "questionable" RBs and WRs. Most of them play in prime time, too, with Adam Thielen going Monday night and a trio of Patriots wide receivers, Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu, and Philllip Dorsett, playing on Sunday night. Matt Breida is the only Sunday afternoon worry, but we'll have the latest updates on all of these players below as you prepare for your Week 13 fantasy start 'em, sit 'em decisions.

Is Adam Thielen playing Monday night?

UPDATE:  Thielen has been officially ruled "OUT" for Monday night.

Despite suffering what was deemed a "slight scare" early in the week, Thielen (hamstring) got in at least limited practices every day and is listed as "questionable" for Monday night's game against Seattle.

Fantasy owners have to be worried about Thielen not only sitting out, but also exiting early even if he is active. That's what happened in Week 9 when he had just one target before standing on the sideline for the rest of the game. It feels like he's leaning toward playing, but that's just a guess. Given the kickoff time for this game, you won't have many other options if you wait and Thielen is inactive. Olabisi Johnson would get more targets if Thielen is out, while Seattle receiver Malik Turner might also be available for you to sub in. You could also try a TE like Irv Smith Jr. Bottom line -- you're taking a risk either way if you wait for Thielen.

WEEK 13 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver Tight end

Is Julian Edelman playing Sunday night?

UPDATE 1: Edelman is officially ACTIVE.

Once again, Julian Edelman (shoulder) is "questionable", and once again there's absolutely nothing to worry about.

Edelman is "questionable" virtually every week and plays well virtually every week. Start him with confidence against Houston's porous pass defense.

Matt Breida injury update

UPDATE 3:  Breida is officially OUT.

UPDATE 2:  NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported early Sunday morning that Breida is not expected to play, and ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed it later.

UPDATE 1:  ESPN's Adam Schefter reported late Saturday night that Breida is expected to play

Breida (ankle) got in limited practiced throughout the week and wound up "questionable" for Sunday's game against Baltimore.

It's likely Breida returns this week, but as was the case before his two-week absence, it's unclear how much he'll play or even if he'll make it through an entire game. He's best left on fantasy benches despite his big-play upside. Tevin Coleman's value takes a slight hit, but he's still a worthwhile FLEX option.

Mohamed Sanu, Phillip Dorsett injury updates

UPDATE: Sanu and Dorsett are officially ACTIVE.

Sanu (ankle) managed to get in limited practices all week, and he's "questionable" for Sunday night's game against Houston. Phillip Dorsett cleared concussion protocol earlier in the week, but he's also listed as " questionable".

MORE WEEK 13: Start/sit | Sleepers | Busts

Sanu is a true game-time decision, so he shouldn't be counted on in fantasy lineups. Dorsett would be a good option if Sanu is out, but obviously fantasy owners won't know that until after almost every other game has been played. It's tough to start either, but both have a lot of upside in a favorable matchup. So, basically, if you think you'll need big points to win, go ahead and wait for one of the Pats WRs (you can always grab N'Keal Harry or Jakobi Meyers to fill in for Sanu if he's out); otherwise, play it safe with someone from the earlier games.
