Fantasy Football WR PPR Rankings Week 6: Who to start, best sleepers at wide receiver image

The 2023 fantasy football season is moving quickly, and it's more crucial than ever to churn out wins to boost your playoff odds. Our Week 6 fantasy WR PPR rankings aim to give your squad the edge it needs to end the week in the win column, pinpointing this week's group of wide receiver sleepers, streamers, fades, and injuries.

Justin Jefferson owners, we're here to comfort you. While no one can quite replicate his production, there are formidable pivot options out there. Having five weeks' worth of results helps us more accurately find favorable matchups and potential streamers, whether they're on your bench or the waiver wire.

Let's break down this week's bunch of must-start studs, bye-week and injury fill-ins, sleepers, and busts.

Which WRs are on bye in Week 6?

This week's set of bye sees only two teams idle, as the Steelers and Packers get a much-needed week to rest up. As a result, we won't see George Pickens, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, or Jayden Reed suit up this week, but the WR pool is deep enough to overcome their absences.

WEEK 6 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Who are the best fantasy WRs Week 6?

Stefon Diggs (vs. Giants in Week 6) owns the top spot in our Week 6 PPR rankings with Jefferson potentially sidelined. Diggs did all he could to help the Bills in Week 5 and now gets an even juicier matchup against the reeling Giants. Tyreek Hill (vs. Panthers) will look to replicate his dominant eight-catch, 188-yard, one-TD effort against a struggling Panthers stop unit.

Ja'Marr Chase (vs. Seahawks) put fantasy owners and the Bengals on his back in Week 5 and could post a second straight big-time fantasy day against an exploitable Seattle pass defense.

Cooper Kupp (vs. Cardinals) didn't miss a beat in his season debut, returning to bona fide WR1 territory. Puka Nacua's still very much an essential part of the Rams offense, but Kupp is still Stafford's go-to wide.

WEEK 6 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Who are the best fantasy WR sleepers, waiver pickups Week 6?

Marquise Brown (@ Rams) looks to continue his consistent play against a susceptible Rams pass defense, and Christian Kirk (vs. Colts) should continue to be Trevor Lawrence's safety blanket following an eight-target game in Week 5.

On the waiver-wire front, K.J. Osborn (@ Bears), DJ Chark (@ Dolphins), Rashee Rice (vs. Broncos), and Brandin Cooks/Michael Gallup (@ Chargers) are worthwhile pivot options in favorable spots. Osborn could assume a high target share with Jefferson sidelined, while Rice and the Chiefs' offense should feast against a weak Broncos defense. Cooks and Gallup face a Chargers defense that entered Week 5 allowing the third-most fantasy points to WRs, so both wideouts garner standalone value.

WEEK 6 FANTASY ADVICE:

Who are the biggest potential WR busts Week 6?

We're not saying you should bench any 49ers wideouts in Week 6, but fantasy owners should note that the Browns' defense entered Week 5 allowing the fewest fantasy points to WRs. Ditto for the Eagles WRs, as Philadelphia goes against a sound Jets secondary that entered Week 5 allowing the third-fewest fantasy points to WRs.

When it comes to WRs you could consider leaving on your bench, stay clear of Courtland Sutton (@ Chiefs)  Isaiah Hodgins and Darius Slayton (@ Bills),  Rashid Shaheed (@ Texans), and Joshua Palmer and Quentin Johnston (vs. Cowboys). None of these wideouts gives us confidence in PPR formats, especially in tough matchups against some of the league's best pass defenses

What are the biggest WR injuries Week 6?

Week 5 saw Jefferson (hamstring), Zay Jones (knee), Tank Dell (head), JuJu Smith-Schuster (head), and Wan'Dale Robinson (head) exit their respective games with injuries. We've taken each of those wideouts out of our initial Week 6 rankings but will keep close tabs on their statuses during the week.

We didn't see Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen), Tee Higgins (ribs), and Treylon Burks (knee) suit up in Week 5 but have included each WR within our initial Week 6 rankings as we're hopeful they'll be healthy enough to play. We think we'll also see Mike Evans (hamstring) return to game action following Tampa's Week 5 bye.

As usual, we'll update these WR PPR rankings throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement and analysis.
