Fantasy Football Week 11 Rankings: Quarterback image

Three of the top seven fantasy QBs last week were Case Keenum, C.J. Beathard and DeShone Kizer, and it wouldn't be at all surprising if some oddball quarterbacks make a big jump this week, based on the matchups, in our Week 11 fantasy QB rankings.

Many of the bottom-tier QBs, like Drew Stanton (@Texans), Tom Savage (vs. Cardinals), Jay Cutler (vs. Bucs), Blake Bortles (@ Browns) and Eli Manning (vs. Chiefs), get extremely favorable matchups. All five face opponents ranked in the top-10 in fantasy points per game (FPPG) allowed to quarterbacks. Pick your poison with one of those streaming options. Related note: Three of the defenses ranked in the top 10 in FPPG allowed to QBs are on bye (49ers, Jets, Colts), which stings our rankings a little bit this week. Conversely, many notable QBs, like Marcus Mariota (@ Steelers), Kirk Cousins (@ Saints), Matt Ryan (@ Seahawks), and Tyrod Taylor (@ Chargers) face tough matchups.

Not all is lost on quarterbacks this week, as Derek Carr (vs. Patriots in Mexico City), Carson Wentz (@ Cowboys), and Alex Smith (@ Giants) return from their byes to extremely favorable matchups. Also, the bye week in Week 11 only really affects fantasy owners of Cam Newton -- who likely have a backup QB anyway. Even with Jacoby Brissett and Josh McCown slotted in as popular streaming options, fantasy owners won't miss them too much. Ditto for C.J. Beathard, who is likely to lose his job to Jimmy Garropolo anyway. (Update: Tyrod Taylor is benched for Nathan Peterman this week, and Blaine Gabbert is starting over Drew Stanton due to knee injury.)

The Week 11 QB rankings feel top-heavy with few streamers to choose from, but there are still throw-a-dart streamers if necessary. Maybe you'll pick up the C.J. Beathard or Case Keenum of this week.

Reminder: We'll update our rankings throughout the week and add player analysis, so please check back often. And here's how you could lose in fantasy in Week 11.

Week 11 Fantasy Football Rankings: QBs

These rankings are for standard leagues with 6-point passing TDs.

1 Tom Brady, Patriots vs. Raiders (in Mexico City).
2 Russell Wilson, Seahawks vs. Falcons. After a 23.4-point performance last week, Wilson is averaging 30 FPPG in his past seven games, with every game but one being over 23 points.
3 Dak Prescott, Cowboys vs. Eagles. Prescott had his second-worst fantasy week (13 points) of the year in Week 10.  The loss of Ezekiel Elliott probably hurts, but we'll give Prescott the benefit of the doubt at home facing the Eagles, currently ranked in the upper half of the NFL at 17.7 FPPG to opposing QBs.
4 Carson Wentz, Eagles @ Cowboys. Heading into his bye last week, Wentz was the highest-scoring fantasy QB this year. He shouldn't have much trouble against the Cowboys, a team who has allowed back-to-back games of multiiple TDs to quarterbacks -- something Wentz done each week since Week 4.
5 Alex Smith, Chiefs @ Giants. Like Wentz, Smith comes off a bye into a great matchup. The Giants defense has just fallen apart lately, allowing 20-plus points to QBs in the past three games, including C.J. Beathard last week with 29 points. Andy Reid, notorious for dominating off a bye week (16-2), will have Smith firing on all cylinders this week.
6 Derek Carr, Raiders vs. Patriots (in Mexico City). The Patriots are currently ranked as the worst team at stopping QBs, but it's worth noting that the past three QBs vs. the Patriots have scored 17, 11, and 11 fantasy points, respectively. They may have figured some things out, preventing Carr from a monster game, but Carr should still get a sizeable amount of points.
7 Drew Brees, Saints vs. Redskins. Brees has been very un-Brees like since the Adrian Peterson trade in Week 6, throwing over 300 yards just once and posting two games of zero passing touchdowns. The Redskins have been favorable to QBs lately, allowing Case Keenum last week to score 32 points. The Saints won't be scoring six rushing touchdowns again, so expect Brees to pass for a couple this week.
8 Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers vs. Titans. In the past two games, the Titans have allowed Andy Dalton and Joe Flacco to post multiple TDs, and Roelisberger, who has done the same in two of his three home games, should continue that trend en route to a good fantasy day.
9 Kirk Cousins, Redskins @ Saints. Since Week 3, the Saints are allowing an average of nine fantasy points to opposing QBs. Cousins likely won't put up a dud, but his ceiling won't be as high as it normally is.
10 Jared Goff, Rams @ Vikings. Cousins decimated the Vikings secondary, throwing for 327 yards and adding three scores, but as a whole, the Vikings are normally pretty solid against opposing QBs in fantasy. Goff has been better on the road (averaging 24 FPPG) than at home. He'll likely end up well below Cousins' 32 points last week but much higher than the Vikings average of 13.35 FPPG to opposing QBs this season.
11 Matthew Stafford, Lions @ Bears.  The Bears are sneaky good at defense, ranked in the top 10 in pass-defense and total yards per game.  Stafford threw for 423 yards against one of the strongest pass-defenses in the league a couple weeks ago, so he shouldn't have too much trouble with the Bears.
12 Marcus Mariota, Titans @ Steelers.  It's been a struggle for Mariota to have a breakout game, and it'll likely continue to be a struggle on a short week against one of the strongest pass-defenses in the league.
13 Jay Cutler, Dolphins vs. Bucs.  in his past four games, Cutler has thrown at least two TDs in each.  At the same time, the Bucs rank in the top-10 in averaging the most FPPG to QBs, making Cutler a possible streaming option this week.
14 Philip Rivers, Chargers vs. Bills.  The Bills did give up 47 points to the Saints, but not a single one was a passing TD, so take that for what it's worth.  The major worry about Rivers is his current concussion, but if he does play, he's facing a Bills defense that has only allowed a multi-passing TD day once this season.
15 Matt Ryan, Falcons @ Seahawks.  Ryan has picked it up recently, posting four straight games of 18-plus points, but the Seahawks are a tough matchup.  The loss of Richard Sherman helps, but Ryan will still have tough time against a defense who have really only let Aaron Rodgers and Deshaun Watson to break them apart.
16 Blake Bortles, Jaguars @ Browns. Can't go wrong playing a QB against the Browns, right? Right? Trust Bortles at your own risk.
17 Eli Manning, Giants vs. Chiefs. It's true that the Chiefs are only .03 points from being the sixth team to allow an average of 20 FPPG to QBs, but it's also true that Andy Reid is 16-2 and absolutely dominates after the bye week.
18 Case Keenum, Vikings vs. Rams.  It seems the Vikings are looking for any reason to start Teddy Bridgewater over Keenum, and it's not the best idea to start someone who might get pulled any second.  It also doesn't help the Rams are ranked in the top 10 at limiting opposing QBs.  Keenum has struggled in tough matchups like this one, making him a tough streamer pick.
19 Andy Dalton, Bengals @ Broncos.
20 Blaine Gabbert, Cardinals @ Texans
21 Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bucs @ Dolphins
22 Joe Flacco, Ravens @ Packers
23 Brett Hundley, Packers vs. Ravens
24 Tom Savage, Texans vs. Cardinals
25 Nathan Peterman, Bills @ Chargers
26 Mitchell Trubisky, Bears vs. Lions
27 Brock Osweiler, Broncos vs. Bengals
28 DeShone Kizer, Browns vs. Jaguars
