Is it possible that the NFL was thinking of fantasy football owners when it scheduled no byes for Week 8? Nah, couldn't be. Either way, we'll take it, as it makes the immediate need for a waiver pickup or trade less pressing. Nonetheless, we're at the point in the season where trades aren't just a luxury for some -- they're a necessity. Finding the right target and trade partner takes time, so this is the perfect week to get to work. Fortunately, FantasyPros is here to help with tips and trade advice in their Week 8 Stock Watch that includes key players like Rhamondre Stevenson and Brian Robinson Jr.

Many owners will treat this bye-free week as a mini-vacation from thinking about roster moves, but savvy owners will work the metaphorical phones to either fill a future hole or strengthen their starting lineup for a postseason run.

The Lions, Broncos, Jaguars, and 49ers are on bye in Week 9, followed by the Chiefs, Rams, Dolphins, and Eagles in Week 10, so some big-time players are gonna be on the sidelines in the near future. Plan accordingly and make some moves, even if it means "losing" the trade in the short/long-term (depending on your needs/goals).

As we always say, remember that trade values can change rapidly in fantasy football, so don't get too locked in on a specific target. Respond to the latest stats and trends, and don't be shy about pulling the trigger if there's a good offer on the table. -- Matt Lutovsky

Fantasy Trade Advice Week 8: Buy-low trade candidates

By Anthony Corrente, Fantasy Pros

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Patriots. Despite seeing fewer rushing attempts than his teammate Ezekiel Elliott (11 to 9) in their Week 7 upset over the Bills, now isn’t necessarily the time to panic over Stevenson's role. If anything, I’m using this as an opportunity to buy a little low on him. He hauled in all six of his targets in Week 7 for six receptions and 51 receiving yards. His receiving ability should keep him locked into fantasy lineups even if he shares rushing work with Elliott. He’s on pace for just over 55 receptions this season, which is a boon to any running back’s fantasy value. Stevenson is a locked-and-loaded RB2 who could potentially be had for RB3 prices after Elliott scored a short-yardage TD for the second-straight week.

Fantasy Trade Advice Week 8: Sell-high trade candidates

Brian Robinson Jr., RB, Commanders. Robinson started 2023 by carrying the ball 19 times in Week 1 and followed that up by carrying the ball 18 times in Week 2. Since then, it’s been a less-than-ideal situation that has been kept somewhat afloat thanks to touchdowns. Since Week 2, he has only topped 10 rushing attempts in a game once (Week 4 against the Eagles) and lost some work to rookie running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. (seven carries) in Week 7. Robinson isn’t someone I’m looking to sell for cheap, but it’s worth dangling his name in trade talks to see if there’s a potential taker given Robinson's solid overall season stats.
