Updated Fantasy Football TE Rankings 2024: Best tight ends, top sleepers, and breakouts in PPR drafts image

When it comes to drafting tight ends in fantasy football, there surely isn't a singular, universally accepted strategy. You can ask three different people how they attack the position, and you'll likely get three different answers.

In recent years, you usually either had to draft a tight end very early or just punt the position until the last few rounds. But this year is a little different. While the position is still top heavy with Sam LaPorta and Travis Kelce clearly in a tier all to themselves, the position in general has more serviceable options than in recent memory.

Whether you're drafting in 10, 12, 14, or even 16-team leagues, the fist 15 tight ends in these rankings all have established roles as the team's primary tight end and have a track record, or at least shown flashes of, being a reliable starting fantasy tight end. Brock Bowers is the one name that may give a little bit of pause since he's a rookie, and the Raiders drafted another talented tight end last season in Michael Mayer. But that's how it goes with most promising rookies - the risk is there, but the reward could lead you to a championship.

Tight End PPR Rankings: Who should you draft at TE in fantasy football leagues?

While Sam LaPorta is ranked as the top tight end this year after his historic rookie campaign in 2023, as Michael O'Hara adeptly points out, the Draft Day price may be too high. Mark Andrews has been an elite TE for several years, but he was limited again by an injury last year, and Isaiah Likely could eat into some of his opportunities as well. Kyle Pitts has been a bust the last two seasons, but the switch from Art Smith to Zac Robinson (a Sean McVay disciple) could unlock his tantalizing potential.
