Fantasy Football Lineup Advice Week 10: Ace your start-or-sit decisions with RotoBaller's "Who to Start?" tool image

The Eagles, Dolphins, Chiefs, and Rams are idle, players are shuffling on and off the injury list, and you never know what Mother Nature has in store for us come Sunday. Fortunately, the experts at RotoBaller are here to help by giving Sporting News Fantasy readers free access to their exclusive “Who to Start?” advice tool to help with your Week 10 fantasy lineup decisions.

How does the “Who to Start?” tool work? Simple: Choose up to four players to compare below, pick your league settings in the upper right corner (PPR, half-PPR, standard), and push “Who to Start?” It’s that easy. From there, you’ll get a lineup recommendation based on RotoBaller’s award-winning rankings and projections.

With three must-start QBs, two must-start TEs, six must-start WRs, and three must-start RBs (plus more borderline plays) on bye this week, fantasy owners in 12-team leagues will be digging deep. The only good news is that we lose a bunch of offenses that you don't want to play your defense against, so there are seemingly more D/ST sleepers this week.

As always, RotoBaller factored in usage, matchups, and talent into its Week 10 rankings, and it’s reflected in its “Who to Start?” tool. Check out an example from each offensive position.

Advice below is based on full-point PPR leagues

Start or Sit?: Week 10 fantasy QB lineup advice from RotoBaller

Brock Purdy (@ JAX) vs. Taylor Heinicke (@ ARI) vs. Kyler Murray (vs. ATL) vs. Baker Mayfield (vs. TEN)

If this looks like an odd group of potential starting QBs, it's because it is. Between injuries and byes, plenty of 12-team owners will be digging deep for a starter, and one of these guys might be their best option. RotoBaller likes Purdy the best, likely because of his superior weapons and favorable matchup. Murray gets the No. 2 spot in his season debut against a reeling Falcons' defense. Mayfield and Heinicke are a few spots behind Murray, but all four have similar floors and ceilings.

Start or Sit?: Week 10 fantasy RB lineup advice from RotoBaller

Najee Harris (vs. GB) vs. Jerome Ford (@ BAL) vs. Tyler Allgeier (@ ARI) vs. James Cook (vs. DEN)

Harris and Cook are neck and neck in the rankings, likely thanks to favorable matchups. They're several spots ahead of Ford, who had 25 touches last week, and even further ahead of Allgeier, who had 14 touches and a touchdown. Ultimately, these backs are all very similar in terms of usage and overall production, but it makes sense to trust Harris and Cook more given their superior matchups.

Start or Sit?: Week 10 fantasy WR lineup advice from RotoBaller

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (vs. WAS) vs. Quentin Johnston (vs. DET) vs. Demario Douglas (vs. IND) vs. Noah Brown (@ CIN)

You might need to go deep for your WR3 or flex in a week like this, and these are the types of receivers that will find their way into lineups. RotoBaller likes JSN because of his superior matchup, but Douglas and his consistent touches aren't far behind. Johnston is several spots behind despite mostly disappointing with increased opportunities, while last week's breakout Brown brings up the rear. All of these WRs are risky, so going with the guy in the best matchup makes sense.

WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Start or Sit?: Week 10 fantasy TE lineup advice from RotoBaller

Logan Thomas (@ SEA) vs. Gerald Everett (vs. DET) vs. Kyle Pitts (@ ARI) vs. David Njoku (@ BAL)

Everett has by far the best matchup, but he's third in this tightly bunched group. Thomas and his consistent targets lead the way, two spots ahead of Pitts and his high ceiling. Njoku, who's been the most consistent lately but has the toughest matchup, is last. Any of these TEs could get in the end zone, but Thomas is the best bet for receptions.
