Fantasy Football Injury Updates Week 15: News on Darren Waller, Taysom Hill, Dalton Schultz image

As much as we like to think we control our fates in fantasy football, we all know injuries play a huge role in the lineups we field. That's especially true in the fantasy football playoffs, which are really a war of attrition. At a position like tight end, a big injury can cripple a team, as there aren't many viable backups, so when key players like Darren Waller, Taysom Hill, and Dalton Schultz are actually getting healthier in the lead-up to Week 15, it's a cause for celebration.

Below, we'll give you the latest news on these key TEs and break down how their injuries could potentially affect the Week 15 fantasy landscape.

Darren Waller injury update, Week 15 fantasy outlook

UPDATE: Waller was limited in practice on Thursday.

Waller (hamstring) has been on the IR since Week 8, but he said last week that he expects to return in Week 15. He expounded on that on Wednesday, saying he hopes to play a "good chunk" of the game against the Saints.

WEEK 15 FANTASY ADVICE:
Sleepers | Busts | Projections | Start-sit

There's always a risk of Waller suffering a setback in practice, but it sure sounds like he'll suit up in New Orleans. With the Saints allowing the 11th-most fantasy points to TEs, Waller has real upside. We rank him just outside the starter's tier because of the uncertainty surrounding his playing time and his unfamiliarity with Tommy DeVito, but it will be tough for many of his owners to keep him out of their lineups.

Taysom Hill injury update, Week 15 fantasy outlook

Hill (foot, hand) failed to practice last week before ultimately being declared out, but he started Week 15 with a limited practice session.

That portends well for his chances of suiting up against the Giants, and as long as Hill is active, he's a great option against New York's 29th-ranked run defense. Hill had 13 carries for 59 yards and a TD in his last game, and if he gets that kind of workload against the Giants, he'll easily post TE1-caliber numbers. Even if those carries are cut in half, he has plenty of upside thanks to his usual two or three targets and one pass attempt.

Dalton Schultz injury update, Week 15 fantasy outlook

Schultz (hamstring) has missed the past two games and turned in just one limited practice session in the process, but he opened Week 15 with a full session, putting him on track to play in Tennessee.

WEEK 15 DFS:
DK lineup | FD lineup | Best values | Best stacks

Schultz had become a steady producer before his injury, so it's not crazy to put him right back in your lineups. However, no team allows fewer fantasy points to TEs than the Titans, so Schultz has an uphill battle to crack the top 10, especially if his snaps are limited and/or C.J. Stroud (concussion) is out.
