Fantasy Football Injury Updates: Noah Fant, Mark Andrews, Jared Cook affect Week 15 TE rankings image

Week 15 tight end rankings could be in more injury flux, with Noah Fant, Mark Andrews, Jared Cook, and Ryan Griffin all failing to finish their games Sunday. That could make Hayden Hurst a popular waiver wire pickup for Week 15 and more fantasy playoff matchups. We have the latest updates below.

WEEK 15 NON-PPR RANKINGS:

Noah Fant injury update

Fant had already surpassed 100 yards and scored a touchdown when he needed to be carted off Sunday due to a foot injury. There was no update provided after the game on Fant's status.

With Drew Lock looking like a competent NFL quarterback and a favorable matchup against the Chiefs coming up in Week 15, Fant fit in as a streamable tight end before his injury. We wouldn't be as excited about Jeff Heuerman if Fant misses that game, but he's still a potential stream depending on your QB situation.

WEEK 15: Top Waiver Pickups

Mark Andrews injury news

Andrews left Sunday's game in Buffalo with what was termed a right knee injury. Afterward, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported it's a "contusion between his thigh and knee" and is "nothing major."

The Ravens play on Thursday Night Football in Week 15, so it will be a quick turnaround for Andrews. If he's out, expect Hayden Hurst to get his down-the-seam targets while Nick Boyle should also be more involved in the red zone. Hurst is an easy plug-and-play replacement for Andrews' owners.

WEEK 15 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiverTight end

Jared Cook concussion update

If you played Cook on Sunday, you were happy as he caught two first-half touchdowns. But on the second score he suffered a concussion and didn't return. His availability for Monday Night Football in Week 15 will depend on clearing concussion protocol.

Josh Hill caught a touchdown after Cook exited Sunday, and Taysom Hill saw a ton of run as a nominal tight end, as well. There's really no reason to plan on playing either in Week 15 (unless fantasy sites decided Taysom Hill can qualify at TE now).

Ryan Griffin injury update

Griffin was rolled up on early in Sunday's game and left with an ankle injury. He didn't return. Adam Gase only confirmed after the game that it's an ankle injury for Griffin, providing no further comment.

The Jets play on Thursday night against the Ravens, which might mean Griffin is held out in Week 15. Daniel Brown played 60-of-69 snaps as Griffin's replacement but was only targeted twice and is off the fantasy radar. Griffin owners should try and beat Andrews owners to Hayden Hurst on the waiver wire.
