Josh Jacobs' status took a couple of turns Wednesday, and he remains one of the biggest RB ranking questions heading into Week 15. Along with Derrick Henry, Jacobs is one of two top-10 backs who could do wonders for teams still alive in the fantasy playoffs. We're also waiting for any positive injury updates on Jordan Howard, while Devonta Freeman and Damien Williams are also on the start 'em, sit 'em bubble because of injuries.

Is Josh Jacobs playing Week 15?
On Wednesday afternoon, Ian Rapoport reported that MRIs on Jacobs' shoulder came back clean and that the rookie is expected to play in Week 15. Jon Gruden walked that back a bit later in the day, saying, "We’ll see what happens in the next couple days. It doesn’t mean he’s going to play, but I’m glad the reports are positive."
(Update: Jacobs was limited again in Thursday's practice for Oakland.
Clean MRI results for Jacobs at least give him a good chance to play, which is better than where things stood earlier in the week after Jacobs missed Sunday's game. DeAndre Washington stands to be the big beneficiary if Jacobs is out, but if Jacobs plays, he's the only Oakland RB worth using.

Derrick Henry injury update
Henry (hamstring) was held out of Wednesday's and Thursday's practices, but Titans head coach Mike Vrabel suggested the team is just looking to manage its powerful running back. Expect Henry to be limited late in the week before likely playing close to his usual allotment of action Sunday. For what it's worth, Henry said Thursday that he'll "be ready to go".
If Henry is a surprise scratch or aggravates his hamstring during Sunday's game, Dion Lewis would take over as the three-down back for the Titans. Henry owners should have Lewis stashed as a handcuff just in case.
WEEK 15 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end
Is Jordan Howard playing Week 15?
Howard's injured shoulder from Week 9 has lasted a lot longer than the supposed "stinger" that it was. Howard was out again Monday night in Week 14, and there haven't been any reports suggesting he's been cleared for contact, so even if he continues practicing in a limited fashion like he did on Thursday, there will be no game action without that clearance.
Miles Sanders remains the lead back here if Howard is out Sunday against the Redskins, but Boston Scott made his case as an effective change-of-pace back who should at least be rostered in PPR leagues while we see how the Philly backfield plays out down the stretch.

Devonta Freeman injury news
Freeman (knee) missed Wednesday's practice, although this late in the season for a player who's dealt with injuries, that could just be a maintenance day. His Thursday and Friday practice status will be more important to determining his Sunday availability.
Freeman's fantasy starter status is more iffy due to a matchup with the 49ers, which makes him no more than a RB3/FLEX play Sunday. If Freeman were to miss out, Brian Hill would get the start but be very unappealing in fantasy.

Is Damien Williams playing Week 15?
Williams (ribs) was back at practice Wednesday for the first time since his Week 11 injury. That bodes well for his chances of playing in Week 15 against the Broncos.
The Chiefs backfield grew more crowded last week with the addition of Spencer Ware to LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson. If Williams plays, he's the only back we can recommend starting from Kansas City.
