Fantasy Football Injury Updates: James Conner, Matt Breida impact Week 11 start 'em, sit 'em calls image

Matt Breida was injured Monday night and didn't return to the game, making his short week turnaround a tricky one. James Conner also has a short week ahead of Thursday Night Football, but he's been out, so it's less consequential. Early signs point to Conner being good to go for the Steelers against the Browns, while Breida's potential absence would elevate Raheem Mostert into a timeshare with Tevin Coleman.

Will James Conner play in Week 11?

Conner (shoulder) was listed as a full participant on the Steelers' Monday practice report. Although Pittsburgh didn't actually practice, they're required to submit an estimated report ahead of Thursday night against the Browns. That designation aligns with multiple reports that suggest Conner will be back.

(Update: Conner was a full participant in practice Tuesday.)

If Conner returns, he should go right back into your fantasy lineups. His return would tank any value that Jaylen Samuels or Trey Edmunds had, although you might want to hang onto Samuels as a handcuff to Conner or possible PPR FLEX.

Matt Breida injury update

Breida left Monday Night Football after aggravating the ankle injury that had been bothering him during the week. He had made it off the injury report by Saturday, but evidently it wasn't perfect as Breida will now have to prepare for a 4:05 game p.m. ET Sunday against the Cardinals on a short week.

(Update: Breida "may miss some time," per NFL Network.)

WEEK 11 PPR RANKINGS: Running backWide receiver | Tight end

Breida's absence meant that Raheem Mostert got some of the game's most important carries in overtime. Tevin Coleman's value won't really change if Breida misses time, but you can expect Mostert to step into Breida's role and have FLEX value.
