DraftKings Week 16 Saturday Picks: Lineup advice for NFL DFS tournaments image

Week 16 provides us with a tantalizing appetizer of Saturday games in a three-game slate much like Thanksgiving. That provides an extra chance to play NFL DFS contests on DraftKings on Dec. 21, especially if you've been knocked out of your season-long league fantasy playoffs. With the Buccaneers and Texans kicking action off, there should be plenty of scoring.

We've invested heavily in potential points out of Houston and Tampa Bay while mostly avoiding what should be a low-scoring affair between Buffalo and New England. The lineup gets wrapped up with strong investment in Rams-49ers, as well, in a game we'll need to stay close to pay off.

WEEK 16 NON-PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

DraftKings Saturday NFL DFS Picks: Tournament lineup

QB Jameis Winston, Buccaneers vs. Texans ($6,900). In the game that should easily feature the most scoring on the slate, Winston potentially provides even bigger upside than Deshaun Watson due to Tampa Bay's insistence on throwing deep down the field no matter the down, distance, or score. Winston slinging it around for four quarters against a bad Houston secondary should lead to much more positive than negative, even with his WRs coming up lame.

RB Raheem Mostert, 49ers vs. Rams ($6,100). Mostert's had three straight weeks in charge of the San Francisco backfield, so hopefully Kyle Shanahan doesn't change his mind now. Mostert might have the most big-play ability of any RB on the slate, and besides Aaron Donald, the Rams' run defense is lacking.

WEEK 16 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiverTight end

RB Sony Michel, Patriots vs. Bills ($4,600). As long as the Patriots don't do anything weird, Michel comes in at a value price for a player who should see double-digit carries and a few goal-line looks in a solid offense.

WR DeAndre Hopkins, Texans @ Buccaneers ($8,500). Hopkins' ownership will be high with Chris Godwin now ruled out, thanks to the lack of other players in his pricing stratosphere. That's fine -- he should have a big game in a shootout.

WEEK 16 DFS LINEUPS:
FD Cash | FD GPP | DK Cash | Y! Cash | Y! GPP

WR Justin Watson, Buccaneers vs. Texans ($4,600). The other chalkiest receiver on this slate might be Breshad Perriman coming off his three-TD day, and we're gonna take a chance and fade him. Watson should see eight-to-10 targets opposite Perriman and produce, especially in DK's PPR scoring.

WR Ishmael Hyman, Buccaneers vs. Texans ($3,000). Hyman should see a lot of looks in three-WR sets for the Buccaneers with Godwin and Scotty Miller both out, and in a game with so many points and passing yards probable for the Bucs, his minimum price will look like a steal.

SATURDAY DFS: Showdown lineups

TE George Kittle, 49ers vs. Rams ($6,500). Kittle is underpriced, and that's despite playing in a run-first offense with multiple talented WRs. He's just the focal point of everything San Francisco does and should be again Saturday night.

FLEX Todd Gurley, Rams @ 49ers ($6,300). Gurley feels like the best combination of floor and ceiling at this price point, rather than taking a chance on a riskier wide receiver. The 49ers are dinged up and didn't do too much slowing down of Devonta Freeman a week ago.

D/ST San Francisco 49ers vs. Rams ($3,400). If you want to free up a bit more cash and play New England here, it's probably warranted. I'll take a shot that San Francisco can handle Jared Goff (whose name I just misspelled "goof" before correcting it).
