DraftKings Picks Week 8: NFL DFS lineup advice for cash games image

What a relief — I dodged Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan to run Lamar Jackson in last week's DraftKings cash lineup. However, Atlanta's implosion still managed to cap opportunity for my Cooper Kupp play and I'm still tilting. We'll try to continue dodging the rough patches in our Week 8 DraftKings lineup while also maximizing our output.

This week's Monday build will allow us to comfortably run three volume-heavy RBs, which is a path in cash games that you absolutely love to see. Let's spend that $50K in DK cap.

WEEK 8 NON-PPR RANKINGS
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

DraftKings Week 8 Picks: NFL DFS cash lineup

QB Matthew Stafford, Lions vs. Giants ($6,100). Stafford's hit 3x in three-straight home games and hosts a defense tied with Atlanta at 8.3 yards allowed per pass, good for a bottom-four in the NFL mark. As with Leonard Fournette, accept the price bump since we still save a grand-plus on the top QB cost to secure a demonstrated floor.

SUNDAY MORNING UPDATE RB Latavius Murray, Saints vs. Cardinals ($5,800). Looks like the Saints will rest Alvin Kamara heading into their Week 9 bye, so there's a 20-30 touch windfall for mid-tier price here.

INITIAL RB Leonard Fournette, Jaguars vs. Jets ($7,800). If they really think they can keep me from playing Fournette on yet another cash slate, then DraftKings got another thing coming. No player has more touches, and only Christian McCaffrey sees more per game.

Week 8 DFS Lineups:
Y! Cash | Y! GPP | FD Cash | FD GPP | DK Cash | DK GPP

RB Chris Carson, Seahawks @ Falcons ($7,000). Spoiler: The RB-defense stack kicks off here. With the Falcons a mess and Ryan in a walking boot, we'll count on road-favorite Seattle feeding their backfield. Carson's seen 24-plus touches in four consecutive weeks to basically phase out Rashaad Penny.

SUNDAY MORNING UPDATE WR Michael Thomas, Saints vs. Cardinals ($8,000). The league's most targeted player gets Drew Brees back.

UPDATED WR Golden Tate, Giants @ Lions ($5,800). Only three receivers have seen more targets than Tate over the past two weeks. Like him at sub-$6K with Sterling Shepard out and the Giants projected for negative game script at around touchdown underdogs.

INITIAL WR Chris Godwin, Bucs @ Titans ($7,100). Godwin led the league in receiving yards heading into Tampa's Week 7 bye, including a current three-game stretch where he's averaged close to 10 catches for 150 yards. Hammer this until he's much farther north of $7K.

WEEK 8 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end

WR Kenny Stills, Texans vs. Raiders: ($4,700). Will Fuller V ranked seventh in targets and fifth in air yards over the five weeks leading into Sunday's injury, and Stills has already capitalized on the role by topping 100 yards in that game. Fuller should remain out, and we pounce.

SUNDAY MORNING UPDATE WR Mike Williams, Chargers @ Bears ($4,000). Williams was already underpriced against a defense benefiting more from reputation than play, and reports about Keenan Allen's dodgy hamstring make Williams hard to pass up as a salary-saver.

WR Corey Davis, Titans vs. Bucs ($4,400). Another dramatically improved role for which DK hasn't appropriately adjusted, even after a 20 DK point outing on Sunday. Even remotely average would do from Ryan Tannehill, as Marcus Mariota ranks 28th in net yards per attempt. Nice matchup facing a bottom-five DK defense for WR.

UPDATED TE Hunter Henry, Chargers @ Bears ($4,900). No tight end has hit 60 receiving yards or a touchdown in a higher percentage of games since 2016, per PFF's Scott Barrett. That's the sound of a sturdy floor!

INITIAL TE Gerald Everett, Rams vs. Bengals ($4,300). Evan Engram hasn't hit 11 DK since Week 3, Zach Ertz hasn't hit 3x all season, and Austin Hooper without Ryan is untouchable for cash. If you're not paying up around $6K at tight end, it's not bad to go inexpensive with the position leader in targets since Week 4.

UPDATED FLEX Chase Edmonds, Cardinals @ Saints ($6,200). Assuming David Johnson sits, close to 30 touches are in play again for the Cardinals' No. 2.

INITIAL FLEX Latavius Murray, Saints vs. Cardinals ($5,800).

UPDATED DST Jaguars vs. Jets ($2,900). Sub-$3K to fade an offense allowing the most DraftKings points to DSTs. Our Friday lineup changes leave a little extra cap to make the upgrade here.

INITIAL DST Seahawks @ Falcons ($2,800). Ryan's in a boot so I'm calling him dunzo for Week 8, though DK conspicuously decided not to price for it. The Seahawks fortunately won't need to worry about Matt Schaub running around.
