DraftKings Picks Week 14: NFL DFS lineup advice for daily fantasy football GPP tournaments image

Our DFS success last week was limited to the Sunday Night Football single-game showdown, so we’re anxious to get back into the green with our Week 14 DraftKings tournament lineup. We’re happy to take some risks in this lineup and bank on some players who have underperformed or disappointed in recent weeks. After all, we’re building these daily fantasy football lineups for GPP contests, so we’re not particularly concerned with "safety."

Before we break down our picks, here are the most notable scoring rules for DraftKings contests: Full-point PPR, four-point passing TDs three-point bonuses for 100 rushing yards, 100 receiving yards, and 300 passing yards.

DraftKings Picks Week 14: NFL DFS lineup for GPP tournaments

Sunday main slate, $50,000 budget

QB Joe Burrow, Bengals vs. 49ers ($6,000). Keep tabs on Burrow’s pinky finger throughout the week, but the fact that he finished Sunday with a respectable 22.6 DraftKings points provides optimism that he’ll be good to go. With his willingness to run, coupled with Tee Higgins re-emerging as a dynamic receiving threat, Burrow will have the chance to hang a big number for us.

RB Antonio Gibson, Football Team vs. Cowboys ($6,000). Gibson continues to dominate volume -- he had 28 touches on 29 opportunities against the Raiders last week -- and the Football Team continues to win. J.D. McKissic could return to the fold after missing Week 13 with a concussion, but Gibson will continue to see plenty of work regardless of McKissic’s availability and be in a position to rip off another solid performance.

RB Saquon Barkley, Giants @ Chargers ($6,000). While it has been frustrating, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Barkley hasn’t lit up defenses coming off of his ankle injury. He’s had 17 touches in each of the past two games, though, and we like him -- and his salary -- enough in this highly favorable matchup. The Chargers aren’t afraid to let teams try to grind their way down the field on the ground, so the matchup could provide Barkley a little more room to roam.

WR D.J. Moore, Panthers vs. Falcons ($6,200). Avert your eyes if you’re offended by narratives, but this is a "gut check" or "statement week" for the Panthers, who were utterly embarrassed by the Dolphins in Week 12 and fired offensive coordinator Joe Brady in Week 13. Moore is undoubtedly the Panthers’ best offensive weapon with Christian McCaffrey (ankle) on the shelf, and it’s reasonable to expect senior offensive assistant and interim OC Jeff Nixon to make sure Moore is involved.

WR Jamison Crowder, Jets vs. Saints ($4,700). We originally had Elijah Moore (quad) in this spot, but after he was placed on the IR, we're pivoting to Crowder, who now figures to operate as the Jets top target. The Saints are among the worst teams in the league at defending WRS, so Crowder should rack up catches and has a chance to hit 100 yards -- both of which are especially in DraftKings' scoring format.

WR Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers @ Bengals ($5,800). Aiyuk didn’t deliver the production many expected in Deebo Samuel’s stead, but sometimes the "next man up" mantra doesn’t materialize in the week immediately following a key player’s injury. George Kittle dominated on Sunday, but Aiyuk’s six targets were still second on the team and accounted for 20 percent of Jimmy Garoppolo’s pass attempts. It could certainly be Aiyuk leading the aerial charge against the Bengals this week.

WEEK 14 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

TE Mark Andrews, Ravens @ Browns ($5,900). It was a mixed bag for Andrews in the Ravens’ loss to the Steelers last week. His nine targets led the team, but he left a lot of points on the field as he and Lamar Jackson struggled to click with one another. The Ravens followed up their previous three losses with a victory, so we like them against the Browns on Sunday in spite of their recent form. Jackson hasn’t been shy about targeting Andrews this season, and with a little more sharpness from both, a big performance will be within reach.

FLEX (RB) Javonte Williams, Broncos vs. Lions ($5,900). Williams had his first opportunity to lead the Broncos backfield and delivered a sterling effort -- 178 total yards, six receptions, and a touchdown -- worth 32.8 DraftKings points. Keep tabs on Melvin Gordon’s (hip) status throughout the week, but even if Williams didn’t officially take the torch with his Week 13 performance, he could still be leaned on heavily if Gordon returns to the mix.

WEEK 14 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

DEF Jaguars @ Titans ($2,300). We’re being a little bit greedy with our skill position players, so we’re going to pinch pennies on defense. This is more about the Titans struggling offensively in recent weeks -- their 270 rushing yards against the New England Patriots in Week 12 notwithstanding -- than faith in the Jaguars. However, we’ve seen the Jags surprise us before, i.e. Week 9 vs. the Bills, and they could hold their own in this spot.
