Fantasy owners were understandably mad when news broke late Sunday morning that Jaguars running back Chris Ivory was a surprise inactive, but things got more serious than fantasy football when it was reported that Ivory had been hospitalized with a "general medical issue" reportedly unrelated to the calf injury that dogged him late in the preseason.

That may have quickly put those disgruntled fantasy owners in their place, but it's fair to wonder whether Ivory will be in any condition to play in Week 2. Among other Week 2 RB concerns are Jamaal Charles, who's still trying to come back from another serious knee injury, and Thomas Rawls, who played second fiddle to Christine Michael in the season opener.

Let's take a look at the latest injury updates for these key fantasy running backs to help get your lineups in order for Week 2.

Jaguars' Chris Ivory remains hospitalized

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Chris Ivory remains hospitalized and "in pain" with an illness that kept him out of Week 1. Needless to say, Ivory's status for Week 2 is uncertain as he undergoes more tests. We're wishing Ivory a quick resolution but for now it sounds like T.J. Yeldon will be starting for the Jaguars again in Week 2 in a great matchup against the Chargers.

Jamaal Charles injury update

Not surprisingly, Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Monday that he is unsure of Jamaal Charles' status for Week 2. Reid isn't the most helpful with injury updates, so Charles owners are likely looking at another game-time decision. In a realistic, best-case scenario, Charles will be active but Spencer Ware will likely start again. How the carries are split is anyone's guess considering Ware was supposed to share with Charcandrick West in Week 1 but wound up  with 18 touches for 199 total yards. Even when Charles returns, this is most likely a hot-hand situation and Ware has the hot hand right now.

Thomas Rawls' fantasy outlook for Week 2

Good news: Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Thomas Rawls (ankle) is ready to increase his workload after seeing just 22 snaps in Week 1 behind starter Christine Michael (52). What's interesting, though, is that Rawls had only two fewer touches than Michael despite the snap discrepancy. As Rawls snaps increase, he should quickly overtake Michael in the backfield. That said, nothing is guaranteed in Seattle, especially with Russell Wilson (ankle) hurting. Stay tuned for more updates on Rawls and Wilson.
