Chargers vs. Raiders: Who to start/sit in fantasy for 'Thursday Night Football' image

Get ready for some offense on Thursday Night Football's Chargers-Raiders matchup. Week 10 should definitely start with a bang, which is great for fantasy owners. Still, you undoubtedly have some start 'em, sit 'em questions heading into the first game of the week, be it for your season-long league or your DraftKings Showdown DFS contest. Sporting News NFL writer Vinnie Iyer is here to help with lineup advice to get your week started off right.

Fortunately, we have no big injuries to worry about, so that makes things a little easier. Just a reminder that Thursday's game between the Chargers and Raiders is in Oakland and starts at 8:20 p.m. ET. You can watch on FOX, NFL Network and Amazon Prime Video.

WEEK 10 NON-PPR RANKINGS
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Chargers: Who to start or sit in fantasy football on Thursday night

Start: QB Philip Rivers

No team has given up more fantasy points to quarterbacks than the Raiders. Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, and Deshaun Watson all lit them up, so you should be rolling down the Rivers in a rebound spot.

Start: WRs Keenan Allen and Mike Williams

Allen has frustrated in fantasy of late with limited production and an injury issue. But this screams get-well game against a bad Raiders secondary, and he's had great success against them in the past. Williams came on strong last week with his size and big-play ability and also can give Oakland plenty of problems downfield and in the red zone.

WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS: Running backWide receiver | Tight end

Start: TE Hunter Henry

The Raiders also can't cover tight ends, giving up the third-most fantasy points to the position, and they just let the Lions' T.J. Hockenson get quite loose last week.

Start: RBs Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler

The Raiders have allowed only three rushing TDs all season, but you can run on them with more talented backs such as Gordon, and he looked great in the new offense last week. They are very giving to receiving backs, allowing four TDs that way, so that's good news for Ekeler, too.

Start: K Michael Badgley

He went back to his kicking duties against the Packers and delivered one of his high-scoring 2018-like games. He's a solid field-goal guy to deploy in what could be a shootout.

Sit: Chargers defense/special teams

Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram balled out against Aaron Rodgers last week, but we're not feeling it against the Raiders' run-heavy approach.

WEEK 10 DFS LINEUPS:
Y! cash | Y! GPP | DK cash | DK GPPFD cash | FD GPP

Raiders: Who to start or sit in fantasy football on Thursday night

Sit: QB Derek Carr

The Chargers, with their strong edge pass rush and good cornerbacks, have allowed only one multiple-TD pass game over their past six games. Carr can have an efficient game, but we've seen that can fail to add up to worthy fantasy totals.

Start: RB Josh Jacobs

The Chargers' run defense looked better than it usually is against the Packers because of positive game script and not being on the field much against Aaron Jones. But two weeks ago, another rookie running back with power and juice, the Bears' David Montgomery, did whatever he wanted. With inside linebacker Denzel Perryman set to miss the game, Jacobs should eat after a fine game against the Lions with a chance for multiple TDs again.

Start: WR Tyrell Williams

This is a tough matchup in the former Charger's revenge game against mostly cornerback Casey Hayward in coverage. But Williams should be targeted enough and get away from Hayward enough to post a viable PPR WR3 day of something like six catches for 80 yards.

MORE WEEK 10 DFS: Stacks | Values | Lineup Builder

Start: TE Darren Waller

He's been losing a little red-zone love to rookie Foster Moreau, but in this ugly tight end landscape, he's almost as good as it gets as a weekly starting option in seasonal leagues.

Sit: Other Raiders receivers

Hunter Renfrow, Zay Jones and Marcel Ateman have done things of late, but nothing that makes us want to trust them as fantasy assets.

Start: K Daniel Carlson

The Chargers can bolt things down in the red zone, so he's as good as any streaming option during a busy bye week.

Sit: Raiders defense/special teams

You already knew that. They simply do not make enough plays.

MORE WEEK 10 TNF: DraftKings Showdown Lineup | Betting guide

Chargers-Raiders DraftKings Showdown lineup for Thursday night

Captain: Raiders RB Josh Jacobs ($14,100)

FLEX: Chargers QB Philip Rivers ($10,000)

FLEX: Chargers TE Hunter Henry ($8,400)

FLEX: Chargers WR Mike Williams ($7,400)

FLEX: Chargers RB Austin Ekeler ($7,000)

FLEX: Raiders TE Foster Moreau ($2,200)

Based on the great matchups, Jacobs and Rivers were the core couple we wanted. And with Rivers, it made sense to tie in all of his non-Allen key targets. After we did all that, the best other Raiders viable option to afford was Moreau, who scored in Weeks 7 and 9.
