Best NFL DFS Stacks Week 1: Lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy football contests image

What's better than getting big passing or rushing performances in your daily fantasy football (DFS) lineups on DraftKings on FanDuel? Trying to double or triple up your scoring potential with smart stacks of multiple players or entities from the same team.

Week 1 presents a great opportunity to attack with those stacks as the prices on DK and FD are still getting sorted out for many players across all positions. With that in mind, here's looking at the best DFS combinations to consider when trying to maximize points during Sunday's main slate.

Week 1 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks: Best stacks for daily fantasy football tournaments

Best QB-WR stack

Seahawks: Geno Smith ($6,100 on DK, $7,200 on FD) and DK Metcalf ($7,000 on DK, $7,700 on FD)

Smith had one big game vs. the Rams and one clunker last season, but this pass defense now totally stinks minus Metcalf nemesis Jalen Ramsey. Metcalf will like working against the likes of Cobie Durant and Tre Tomlinson at corner, and the Rams also have little pop on the edge rush. The 'Hawks will throw to score early and then run to win.

WEEK 1 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Best QB-TE stack

Saints: Derek Carr ($5,300 on DK, $7,000 on FD) and Juwan Johnson ($3,900 on DK, $5,100 on FD)

Carr likes throwing to the tight end. He will miss Darren Waller, and he won't get a chance yet with Foster Moreau. Johnson is positioned well to produce playing off the deep attention Chris Olave will command, and the Titans still are set up to struggle in covering his position. There's also good value in each player as cheaper pivots from Smith-Metcalf.

WEEK 1 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Best RB-Defense Stack

Packers: Aaron Jones ($6,300 on DK, $7,200 on FD) and D/ST ($2,800 on DK, $4,100 on FD)

Jones remains a steady but underrated fantasy performer. The Packers will keep leaning on him quite a bit as a runner and outlet receiver. The Bears upgraded at cover linebacker but can be vulnerable against the run, and Jones will help out Jordan Love in every facet. Green Bay is also a sleeper D that can cause discomfort for Justin Fields in passing situations.

WEEK 1 DFS LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings

Best "Onslaught" Stack

Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence ($6,500 on DK, $8,000 on FD), Calvin Ridley ($6,500 on DK, $7,000 on FD) and Christian Kirk ($5,600 on DK, $6,900 on FD)

The Jaguars are excited to unveil an even more dynamic passing game with Ridley featured as the No. 1 wideout and Kirk sliding into a dangerous inside-outside No. 2. They have the potential to be this year's Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Kirk might see some Kenny Moore, but the Jaguars can scheme him open well on corners Dallis Flowers and Darrell Baker Jr., the Durant and Tomlinson of Indianapolis.

WEEK 1 FANTASY PICKS: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em

Week 1 NFL DFS Picks: Top cash game stacks for DraftKings, FanDuel

Best QB-WR stack

Vikings: Kirk Cousins ($6,300 on DK, $7,500 on FD) and Justin Jefferson ($8,800 on DK, $9,500 on FD)

Cousins is a high-floor QB against the Buccaneers' defense, which remains stout against the run but leaky against the pass. In his first game without Adam Thielen and getting used to rookie Jordan Addison, Cousins will pepper Jefferson plenty, making the pay-up worth it.

Best RB-Defense stack

Ravens: JK Dobbins ($6,600 on DK, $6,500 on FD) and D/ST ($4,000 on DK, $5,000 on FD)

Dobbins is bound to have some high ownership against the Texans' putrid run defense that doesn't look much better this year. He's healthy and should command a fair number of touches in what should be a blowout situation playing off Lamar Jackson. The Ravens' D can make life rough on rookie C.J. Stroud and provide a decent D/ST TD opportunity for either Roquan Smith, Patrick Queen, or Kyle Hamilton.
