Are Keenan Allen & Mike Williams playing Sunday night? Fantasy injury update for Chiefs-Chargers Week 11 (Updated) image

For a team that entered the season with high hopes, the Chargers' offense has been one of the more underwhelming units in the NFL. Some of that can be attributed to injuries, particularly the health issues of top receiving threats Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Ahead of Week 11 Sunday night's home bout against the Chiefs, both Allen and Williams are officially listed as "questionable," which is good news for a Chargers offense -- and fantasy football teams -- in need of a spark.

We'll continue to update this article with news on Allen and Williams until the official active/inactive report comes out on Sunday around 6:50 p.m. ET.

Is Keenan Allen playing Sunday night Week 11?

UPDATE: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported late Saturday night that Allen said he plans to play, but Chargers' coaches will make the final decision after pre-game warm-ups.

UPDATE 2: Allen is officially ACTIVE.

Allen (hamstring) ended the week as a full participant in practice, the first time he's practiced in full since suffering his hamstring issue in Week 1. Allen is on track to play in his first game since Week 7, profiling as a startable option against a Chiefs defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to WRs (31.5).

Los Angeles will likely be forced to employ a pass-heavy offensive scheme to keep pace with the Chiefs, boosting Allen's fantasy appeal in his first game back. Don't expect a huge week from the 10-year wideout, but a double-digit fantasy point output is certainly attainable. If he ends up being a surprise inactive, fellow WRs Josh Palmer and DeAndre Carter will see an increase in usage.

Is Mike Williams playing Sunday night Week 11?

UPDATE: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported late Saturday night that Williams said he expects to play Sunday night against Kansas City.

UPDATE 2: Williams is officially ACTIVE.

Williams (ankle) also ended the practice week as a full participant in Friday's practice, boosting his chances of returning on SNF. Williams went down with an ankle injury in Week 7 against the Seahawks and has missed the Chargers' past two games.

WEEK 11 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Williams had his best fantasy performance of the season in Week 2 against the Chiefs, hauling in eight passes for 113 yards and a TD on 10 targets. While it's unlikely he replicates that output this go-around, he's always a threat to score a TD, drawing the 12th most red-zone targets among WRs (10). Like Allen, should Williams miss Sunday night, Palmer and Carter will fill his void.
