The 2017-18 Europa League comes to a conclusion next month, with some of the continent's biggest teams vying for continental glory - and a place in next season's Champions League.
Qualifying rounds kicked off last June and 190 teams will be distilled to just two as they face off for the right to get their hands on the famous Coupe UEFA.
It is not quite the final curtain call of the European club season, but it serves as an appropriate warm-up act for the Champions League final, which takes place shortly after.
With just under a month to go, Goal brings you everything you need to know about the Europa League final, including where it is, ticket information, how to watch and more.
When and where is the Europa League final?
The 2018 Europa League final will be played at Parc Olympique Lyonnais (alternatively known as Parc OL, Stade de Lyon, or Groupama Stadium) in Decines-Charpieu, Lyon, France.
The game is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 16 and is set to kick off at 19:45 BST (14:45 ET).
Parc Olympique Lyonnais is home to Ligue 1 side Lyon and is a new structure, playing host to its first game in January 2016.
It has a capacity of 59,186 - net capacity of 57,000 for the final - and is considered a Category 4 stadium by UEFA, meaning that it is a prime venue for events.
Indeed, Parc OL hosted six games at Euro 2016 and is also set to be used at the 2019 Women's World Cup as the venue for the semi-finals and the final.
What teams are in the Europa League final?
Semi-final ties have not yet concluded, so we do not know which teams will contest the Champions League final. However, come May 3, the two finalists will be confirmed.
The four teams left in the Champions League are: Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Marseille and Red Bull Salzburg.
First-leg games took place on Thursday, April 26 and second legs conclude on Thursday, May 3.
Team | Agg. | Team | Leg 1 | Leg 2 |
---|---|---|---|---|
Marseille | - | Red Bull Salzburg | 2-0 | May 3 |
Arsenal | - | Atletico Madrid | 1-1 | May 3 |
How to buy Europa League final tickets
As mentioned, Parc Olympique Lyonnais has a capacity of 57,000 for the 2018 Europa League final and 23,000 tickets have already been sold to the general public.
General sale tickets are sold exclusively through UEFA's official website and tickets for this year's final went on sale on March 15 and the sales window shut on March 22.
The re-sale window for those tickets then closed on April 17, with the entire allocation selling out.
With 23,000 tickets sold to the general public, that leaves 34,00 tickets and there will be an equal share between the two finalists, but that number has yet to be finalised. The finalists for the Champions League will be allocated 17,000 tickets each, but this number is likely to be smaller for the Europa League.
The remaining tickets are likely to be distributed among broadcasting and commercial partners, UEFA's member associations and the hospitality sector.
