Chennai Super Kings (CSK) host Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL (Indian Premier League) on Friday at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
CSK are in good spirits after a good win over arch-rivals RCB in the last game. CSK posted a mammoth 226 on the board, riding on some destructive batting by Devon Conway (83 off 45) and Shivam Dube (57 off 27).
However, RCB were cruising comfortably during the chase, courtesy of some clean hitting from Faf Du Plessis (62 off 33) and Glenn Maxwell (76 off 36). But, CSK pulled things back and clinched a memorable eight-run victory at the Chinnaswamy.
Meanwhile, SRH succumbed to a loss to Mumbai Indians (MI) by 14 runs in their previous game. Chasing 192, Orange Army could not mount a sustained chase and ended up losing by 15 runs.
But the Orange Army had plenty of positives from the game as Mayank Markande and Washington Sundar bowled excellent spells and should trouble CSK's batsmen as well on a spin-friendly Chepauk Stadium.
These two teams have faced each other 18 times in the past, with CSK having the better head-to-head record with 13 wins compared to SRH's 5.

CSK have their fair share of injuries to deal with as Ben Stokes and Deepak Chahar remain injured and are unavailable for the match.
SRH have no injury concerns and have the full squad at their disposal.
