Florida nearly staged a comeback against No. 3 Texas A&M on Saturday night, but the Aggies robbed Cade Kurland of a go-ahead home run in the ninth inning. The Gators went on to lose, 3-2.
Both teams have already had their backs against the wall in the NCAA Tournament. In a winner-take-all Game 3 in the super regionals against Georgia, NC State won in Athens, 8-5. And after dropping a game in the regionals to Oklahoma State, Florida rattled off three straight wins to advance out of the Stillwater regional.
