After thrilling victories in their respective opening games in the College World Series, No. 2 Kentucky and No. 3 Texas A&M will meet in the winner's bracket of the tournament on Monday evening.
The game will mark the first meeting of the season between the two SEC foes.
The third-ranked Aggies are undefeated in the NCAA Tournament, on the heels of an unblemished regional and two victories over Oregon in the super regional. And the good times continued for Texas A&M in Saturday's victory over Florida, which included a game-saving catch in the ninth inning courtesy of Jace LaViolette.
The Wildcats made a splash landing in the program's CWS debut, walking off NC State in the tenth inning. Kentucky, amid a dream season, received a game-tying home run in the ninth inning from Ryan Nicholson; then, Mitchell Daly clubbed a walk-off home run in the tenth.
