If there's a theme entering the 2024 men's College World Series, it's SEC vs. ACC.
Four SEC powerhouses — including the top-three overall seeds in the NCAA Tournament — are set to vie for the national title in Omaha. But, not to be outmatched, the ACC has four strong representatives, too, including three top-10 seeds.
And Saturday's showdown between No. 2 Kentucky and No. 10 NC State certainly represents that trend well.
The Wildcats, in the midst of a historic season, are in the College World Series for the first time in program history. This marks the fourth appearance for the Wolfpack, and the third since 2013.
