The 2024 College World Series is an all-SEC/ACC affair. Only two conferences are represented by the field of eight, with each of the top three seeds coming out of the SEC but plenty of ACC title hopefuls waiting in the wings, as well.
Despite some familiar brands making the trip to Omaha, this year's national champion will be a new one. The most recent champion in this year's College World Series field is Florida, who won in 2017. Of the remaining seven teams, the only one with a national title this century is 2015 champion Virginia.
Many of college baseball's biggest stars fell short of the College World Series, including Georgia's Charlie Condon and Oregon State's Travis Bazzana. That means the must-watch player is on the team the fewest expected to make it to Omaha: Florida's Jac Caglianone.
A two-way standout, Caglianone posted ridiculous offensive numbers for the Gators this season and is a projected top-10 MLB Draft pick because of his impressive bat. For Florida to shock the world, Caglianone will need to be at his very best in Omaha.

The 2024 Men's College World Series begins in earnest on Friday, June 14. It will end either on June 23 or 24, depending on whether the finals require two or three games.
