Two top-20 college volleyball teams are coming together in Tempe for a Big 12 clash this week — Arizona State and BYU.
The Sun Devils (13-2) are recovering from an upset loss against No. 19 Baylor in their first week of conference play, knocking off Utah in four sets Wednesday to get back on track entering the match against the Cougars.
No. 20 BYU (9-4) had a winning first week of conference play, coming out on top against both Colorado and Texas Tech. Outside hitter Claire Little led the way against the Red Raiders, totaling a team-high 14 kills, and the Cougars finished out the match with a .224 hitting percentage.
The Sun Devils and Cougars have only ever met twice, and Friday will mark the first time the programs are competing against each other in the same conference.
