Newcastle United vs Chelsea: TV channel, live stream, squad news & preview image

Chelsea head to Newcastle still with a slim chance that they can qualify for the Champions League next season but they need Liverpool to lose to Brighton at Anfield.

Newcastle confirmed their safety weeks ago and they are currently looking to consolidate their 10th position and secure a top-half finish.

St James' Park has been a nightmare venue for Chelsea in recent years, though, as Newcastle are unbeaten in their last four home Premier League games against Chelsea, scoring at least twice in each match.

Match Preview

Antonio Conte Chelsea

Chelsea's season hinges on their next two games. Champions League qualification to go alongside an FA Cup win would be seen as a success, whereas a fifth-place finish and a runners-up medal would not be good enough for Antonio Conte's men.

The Blues will want a routine win against the Magpies whilst hoping that Brighton can pull off an unlikely victory at Anfield.

Chelsea could still mathematically qualify for the Champions League if Liverpool manage to draw but they would need to beat Newcastle by 15 goals. Chelsea were involved in the biggest final day win in Premier League history when they hammered Wigan 8-0 in 2010.

Newcastle have nothing to play for and have been taking it easy since hitting the 40-point mark with a win against Arsenal last month.

They have lost every game since the win against the Gunners, most recently losing 1-0 by Tottenham, but it has still been an overwhelmingly positive season for Rafa Benitez's side following promotion from the Championship.
