Real Madrid, meanwhile, went through thanks to a late comeback against Bayern Munich as Joselu scored a late double off the bench.

Where is Real Madrid vs. Dortmund in 2024 Champions League final?

The 2024 Champions League final will be held at Wembley Stadium in London. It is the first time England has hosted this event since it was held at Wembley in 2013, 11 years ago.

That match was also the last time Borussia Dortmund made the final, when they were beaten 2-1 by Der Klassiker foes Bayern Munich on an 89th minute winner by Arjen Robben. They were nearly handed a rematch of that game, but Real Madrid denied them an all-German final.

Two years before that in 2011, Wembley also hosted the Champions League final as Barcelona beat English side Manchester United on virtual home soil. Lionel Messi hoisted the trophy after scoring the game-winner in the 54th minute.

Next season, the 2025 Champions League final will be held in Germany, at Bayern Munich's home stadium Allianz Arena. It will be the culmination of the first Champions League with the new expanded format, which will utilise the Swiss Model for the group stage.
