Mohamed Salah leads the line for Liverpool in Tuesday night's Champions League semi-final first leg at Anfield.

The Egyptian star spent two seasons with Roma before moving to England in the off-season, and he starts alongside Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino to make up Liverpool's deadly trio.

Firmino, Andrew Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have all been recalled after being rested for Liverpool's 2-2 draw with West Brom at the weekend.

Meanwhile Roma make one change from the XI that memorably defeated Barcelona 3-0 in their quarter-final second leg, with Cengiz Under coming in for Patrik Schick.

Both sides will look to secure a positive result before the scene shifts to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome for the second leg next Wednesday.

Liverpool XI: Karius; Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Mane, Firmino

Subs: Mignolet, Klavan, Moreno, Clyne, Wijnaldum, Solanke, Ings

Roma XI: Alisson; Manolas, Fazio, Jesus; Florenzi, De Rossi, Strootman, Kolarov; Under, Nainggolan; Dzeko

Subs: Skorupski, Peres, Gonalons, Pellegrini, Perotti, El Shaarawy, Schick
