It does not seem long ago that fans and pundits were questioning the wisdom of Arsenal sanctioning a £65million move to extract Kai Havertz from Chelsea.
Now the Germany international is loving life having swapped west London for north London last year, emerging as the attacking spearhead for Mikel Arteta's in-form side.
While the 25-year-old has previously looked indecisive in front of goal, he is now an assured and confident attacker, and there was little surprise when Havertz opened the scoring in Arsenal's 2-0 UEFA Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
He showed the conviction that PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma badly lacked by getting to Leandro Trossard's cross first and heading home.

It followed Havertz's game-sealing strike in last Saturday's dramatic 4-2 win over Leicester City and inked him into Arsenal's history books.
The former Bayer Leverkusen star has scored in each of Arsenal's first five home games across all competitions this season, with Wolves, Brighton and Bolton also on the receiving end of this rich vein of form.
Havertz is only the fourth Arsenal player to achieve this feat and the first for 70 years since Doug Lishman in 1954/55.

Cliff Bastin, Arsenal's all-time leading scorer before being passed by Ian Wright and then Thierry Henry, scored in the opening five home games of the 1934/35 season at Highbury, while Jimmy Brain did likewise in 1927/28.
Havertz can make it six of the best when lowly Southampton visit Emirates Stadium on Saturday, October 5.
