Harry Kane, soccer star and captain of the English national soccer team, is bringing his talents to DAZN.
Kane, superstar striker for Tottenham Hotspur of the Premier League, is joining DAZN as an executive producer for the three-part series "40 Days: Canelo vs. Smith." The mini-series spotlights Canelo Alvarez's return to the ring to face Callum Smith on Dec. 19.
"I know what it’s like to prepare for a big match — the sweat and blood that goes into making sure you’re the best athlete you can be, and '40 Days' captures that like no other series," said Kane. "I'm excited to team up with DAZN on this latest edition and look forward to watching my fellow countryman take on a pound-for-pound champion of Canelo’s calibre in what is set to be a world-class night of boxing."

Episode 1 of the three-part series debuts on Dec. 14 on DAZN. Episodes 2 and 3 will debut on Dec. 16 and Dec. 18, respectively, leading into the weekend's bout.
Along with chronicling Alvarez's return to the ring, the series also features commentary from Matchroom's Eddie Hearn, Alvarez's trainer Eddy Reynoso and Smith's trainer Joe Gallagher.
"This edition of '40 Days' details the different approaches of the two fighters and what makes this championship match-up so interesting," DAZN director of content Deirdre Fenton said in a release. "Harry is another athlete currently performing at the top of his game in these conditions, making him a fantastic collaborator on this series."
Alvarez (53-1-2, 36 KOs) has been away from the ring for over a year, with his last fight coming against Sergey Kovalev in November 2019. Alvarez downed Kovalev in Round 11.
Smith (27-0, 19 KOs) last fought in Nov. 2019, as well, defeating England's John Ryder in a unanimous decision. Smith is currently heralded as one of the world's top super middleweight competitors.
Alvarez and Smith will be fighting for the WBA (Super), The Ring and currently vacant WBC super middleweight straps. It's Canelo's first venture back into the super middleweight since facing — and defeating — Rocky Fielding in December 2018.
