Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah is not moved by critical remarks about his status as the Black Stars' No.1 ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations opener against Uganda on Tuesday.

The Cordoba shot-stopper has seen little game time at club level this season, having made no league appearance in the Spanish second tier, but for outings in two cup matches.

He has been Ghana's first choice since the 2015 Afcon in Equatorial Guinea.

“We have a lot of goalkeepers and good players who don’t play at their club sides but that doesn’t make them bad players," Brimah told TV3.

“Every coach has his choice of players.

“People who criticise me don’t see me train but they only see me play, so no matter what people say, I don’t care.

“All I have to do is to give off my best when I’m given the chance to play, and not listening to criticisms around.”

Brimah made his international debut in a 2-2 stalemate with Turkey in a friendly encounter in 2013.

He is expected to be in action when the Black Stars face Uganda at Stade de Port-Gentil.
