Nate Diaz - Jorge Masvidal

Two of the toughest MMA fighters of all time face off in a boxing ring as Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal fight in California.

Both warriors fought against one another in 2019, with Masvidal beating Diaz for the symbolic BMF Title. Masvidal landed 112 significant strikes inside Madison Square Garden, eventually beating Diaz via TKO.

Masvidal lost four straight since that fight, including two fights for the UFC welterweight title. “Gambred” retired from MMA in 2023 and has since started his own fight promotion.

“I expect to silence all his fans when I’m done with my work on fight day," Masvidal said. "It’s gonna be two dogs in the ring. Neither of us are backing down. I know it’s gonna take everything I’ve got to take him down and shut everyone up. We already fought and he knows what I bring. I bring speed and power, and I’m not a nice guy. I’m gonna bring the heat like always.”

Diaz went 1-1 following the Masvidal fight, ending his contract with the UFC with a submission win against Tony Ferguson. The winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5 lightweight tournament fought Jake Paul in a boxing match in August 2023, losing against "The Problem Child" but forcing the YouTuber to use up his energy.

“I knew I’d end up back here and that the time would come,” Diaz said. “I got right back to doing what I had to do after our first fight. I still feel like I’m the real BMF. I’m gonna continue on until the end of time… I’m not going in there trying to get hit. My plan is to hit and not get hit. I’m coming to win. That’s what it’s all about.”
