Scardina-Kekalainen results: Daniele Scardina secures unanimous decision over Henri Kekalainen image

Daniele Scardina's record remained unblemished as the super middleweight cruised past Henri Kekalainen to win the vacant IBF International super middleweight title on Friday.

Although a game opponent, Kekalainen (11-6) was simply overmatched as Scardina utilized crisp counterpunching and effective body punching to outpoint his opponent from Finland over 10 rounds with scores of 98-91, 98-91 and 98-91. The bout was streamed on DAZN as part of the Matchroom Italy card that took place at the Superstudio in Milan.

Scardina (16-0, 14 KOs) quickly imposed his will on his opponent and dashed out to a fast start. Kekalainen sought to be competitive but quickly realized that Scardina's power was going to be difficult to get past. In the second round, Scardina dropped his foe with a hard left hook to the temple. Kekalainen made it to his feet and fought back with hard counter hooks, but Scardina wouldn't be denied.

As the rounds wore on, the Italian found success going to the body and hurt Kekalainen on several occasions with hard hooks to the abdomen. Scardina was too much for his Finnish opponent and pleased his home crowd with an exciting performance.
