Foster turned pro in 2012. After going 2-2 between 2015 and 2016, the Texas-born boxer has won eleven fights in a row. "Ice Water" was considered a top contender after beating Jon Fernandez in 2018, and he lived up to the hype by handing Rey Vargas his first career defeat in February 2023 to win the WBC title.
In his last fight in October, Foster battled against Eduardo Hernandez. He was part of a Round of the Year contender in the eleventh and secured himself SN’s Fight of the Year after forcing a stoppage in the twelfth. He now headlines the historic Hulu Theater and looks to hold onto his title by any means necessary.

Nova turned pro in 2016. The 29-year-old lost against Robeisy Ramirez in June 2022. Since then, he has won two in a row, beating Jonathan Romero in his last contest in July. The Puerto Rican is ready to provide the upset against Foster.
