Saturday night's highly anticipated bout between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. ended in an unofficial draw after the legendary boxers went the full eight rounds at Staples Center. Tyson was the runaway winner on the Twitter scorecards of boxing experts, but judges Chad Dawson, Christy Martin and Vinny Pazienza must have watched a different fight.

Tyson and Jones showered each other with compliments after the exhibition, and no one got hurt, which was a real concern before they met in the ring.

"I was afraid I might get hurt," Tyson said. "I didn't fight in 20 years. [Jones] only stopped fighting for three years. Why nobody care about my ass?"

Both guys left the door open for a rematch, though that may have just been the adrenaline talking. For now, the WBC's newly created "Frontline Battle Belt" remains vacant.

12:40 a.m. ET — Tyson was good with a draw. Jones felt differently.

"I wear draws, I don't do draws," Jones told Jim Gray.

12:30 a.m. ET — It's a... DRAW? Uh, sure. Of course it ended that way.

Round 8

12:25 a.m. ET — And the old guys go the distance. Credit to both Tyson and Jones putting on a show. Tyson should get the unofficial win.

Round 7

12:20 a.m. ET — Even when Jones gets off a combination, he's not pushing Tyson back. Just dominating the fight.

Round 6

12:17 a.m. ET — Tyson is just far more active and landing punches more consistently. He has been the aggressor.

Round 5

12:15 a.m. ET — Surprisingly, Tyson is in much better physical shape than the younger Jones, who looks exhausted.

Round 4

12:12 a.m. ET — Tyson may have hurt Jones with the body shots that round. He is firmly in control.

Round 3

12:10 a.m. ET — Jones was a bit shaken by a head-butt. He is in dangerous territory here. Tyson has bad intentions with these punches.

Round 2

12:05 a.m. ET — Jones hit Tyson with some nice jabs, but Tyson also found his target with a few hard lefts. Jones is trying to wear down Tyson by constantly clinching.

Round 1

12:00 a.m. ET — The breathing is already heavy for the boxing legends. Mike Tyson appeared to take the opening round with seven power punches landed to Jones' two.

11:55 p.m. ET — And now Mike Tyson walks down the ramp. He is locked in.

11:50 p.m. ET — Roy Jones Jr. makes his way to the ring. The main event is just minutes away.

11:10 p.m. ET — Wow. That was brutal. Jake Paul lands an overhand right on Nate Robinson in Round 2, and that will do it. The YouTube star moves to 2-0 in his boxing career.

10:45 p.m. ET — As Israel Adesanya said, that was an "ass-whooping." Badou Jack unloads on Blake McKernan throughout the bout and walks away with a win via unanimous decision. No controversy there.

9:55 p.m. ET — Jamaine Ortiz drops Sulaiman Segawa in Round 7 with a vicious body shot. Segawa tried to fight through the pain, but he simply couldn't stay on his feet. A knockout victory for Ortiz.

8:55 p.m. ET — Edward Vasquez scores a split-decision win over Irvin Gonzalez after an incredible eight-round battle. Vasquez and Gonzalez combined to throw over 1,000 total punches and 600 power punches. That one is going to be hard to top.

The pay-per-view event begins at 8 p.m. ET with the main card scheduled to start at 9 p.m. ET. Tyson and Jones are expected to make their ring walks around 11:30 p.m. ET, depending on how long the other fights last.
