Hardcore boxing fans are not best pleased with a fight they consider to be a circus. Whatever camp you are in, though, there is no doubt that there is plenty of interest in the rematch between the two big-talking YouTube stars at the Staples Center, with the two having fought in an amateur fight in Manchester last year.
But, just how did we get to a point where Eddie Hearn and his Matchroom organization is promoting a pay-per-view event between two men famous predominantly for their web exploits? Well, Omnisport has taken a look at the story so far.

Logan Paul vs. KSI: What happened in the first fight?
KSI lays down the gauntlet
The initial barbs between the warring duo were purely virtual, but the root of this rivalry can certainly be traced back to KSI.
It was the Briton who first called out Paul, and indeed his brother Jake, after defeating another YouTuber Joe Weller in a boxing match.
A family affair?
In slightly farcical scenes, the situation escalated and families soon got involved.
Jake Paul uploaded a video mocking KSI and called out his father, while offering his own dad – Greg Paul – to fight KSI, whose real name is Olajide William Olatunji.
Soon, KSI's brother – Deji Olatunji – became embroiled in the argument and would actually end up fighting Jake Paul on the undercard of his sibling's bout with Logan.

Walkouts and diss tracks
An ugly news conference, in which KSI hurled insults at his opponent's girlfriend and father, led to Logan Paul walking out.
Afterwards, Greg Paul was punched in the face as the family left the venue, an incident for which KSI's brother claimed he was being sued.
If you think that might have caused both parties to try and cool things a little, well, think again.
KSI released a diss track entitled "On Point" about his rival, which brought a swift retort in a single of his own from Logan Paul called "Goodbye KSI".

A predictable draw?
Fight night finally arrived on August 26, 2018 but bragging rights were put on hold after neither man was declared the winner in a contentious event that saw Jake Paul at one point enter the ring to remonstrate with KSI, who he felt had thrown a punch after the bell had gone to conclude round two.
KSI was ahead by a point on one of the judges' scorecards, but two others had it even meaning a majority draw was declared.
Many of the 15,000-strong crowd greeted the decision with boos and many reacted online to suggest the result was merely a way of ensuing there would be a second fight and the opportunity to make more money.
Here we go again ...
There was an air of inevitability about the fact a rematch would take place. But this time professional licenses have been granted meaning the head guards are off and the gloves are lighter.
It was announced the PPV event would be shown on Sky Sports and DAZN and a date of November 9 in LA was confirmed by Hearn.
More shade thrown
There has not exactly been a thawing of tensions as we head towards fight night…
Paul vowed to make KSI his "b—" and predicted a "first-round decapitation," while promising to kiss his opponent's mother on the cheek.
In reply, KSI said: "I can't wait to see the memes of him slumped on the ground after I've repeatedly beaten the life out of him."
So, there we go. That is the story of how we ended up in Los Angeles. Now all we can do is see how the (probable) final chapter plays out on Saturday.
